Likely by design. Imagine if they merged PoE 1 into this. Now they've split the playerbase even more than before. At least before, there used to only be PoE 1 standard. Then they came out with hardcore, then leagues, then SSF, then Ruthless. Now they came out with PoE 2 (Ruthless 2.0). If you go on PoE 1 Standard, barely anyone is playing anymore. So you're mostly playing by yourself because the playerbase is split between too many versions of the game. On top of this, there is no way they will be able to dedicate the same amount of time and effort with development on both PoE 1 and PoE 2. So you will either have more effort on one or the other and/or more time spread apart between releases. Lose lose situation. 🔷🔶🔰🌀✨Standard>Leagues✨🌀🔰🔶🔷 🔷🔶🔰🌀✨Make trade like the Grand Exchange from RuneScape✨🌀🔰🔶🔷 Let us zoom out more. Yeah I think there's no hope for you, a lot of people enjoy the game, enjoyed the recent interview and are hyped by the next patch so you can keep maintaining that thread if you want but you'll probably end up disapointed.

I imagine a good share of the 40K additional that stopped playing the game since the same day last week are probably disappointed. They may as well have said "Do you not have credit cards Exile?" during the announcement.

After thousands of hours in PoE 1 and about 400 in PoE 2 I see some of the points. In PoE 1 I play trade league and in PoE 2 both SSF and trade.
The game is slower yea, but in end game maps you are zooming. Not screens per second but way faster than in campaing. Having movement as implicit in boots would be nice, or give us way to target craft it. Crafting bench would be nice. So the crafting wouldn't be such a gamble. I have wasted so much currency hitting crappy mods that it is frustrating. Sanctum and Ultimatum are the worst ways to ascend. I truly hope they won't add TotA as 3rd option. They should run a poll which way to ascend would be preferred by players. Getting 6 link skills is pain. After all the hours in PoE 2 I haven't seen single greater or perfect jewelers. What comes to difficulty, I prefer this over PoE 1 difficulty where you can watch youtube on second screen while mapping. The difficulty is spot on but give us ways to combat the insane monster speed (movement skills or speed). But losing your drop in some bs death is just insane. And having all the mobs to respawn again is just tedious and boring grind. Lots of skills and supports are still missing and getting those would be nice. I haven't run issues with flask sustain after using flasks with 0.25 charges per second and couple nodes from the tree. IMO they should go full reset more often than once in a 3 or so months. If something is broken, fix it and reset. There is a reason why we are playing beta (which they changed to early access). Broken stuff should be fixed asap and then new ea league could be created with the fixes / new content. Let the standard be as is. Oh and one more thing. We need our PoE 1 league. You stand before the gates of the Lord's Labyrinth. Within these walls, the Lady of Justice doth preside.

more movement speed dosnt help, iam allready clip on every small stone .some maps are just pure horror.(had more movespeed with stat stacker)

One initial thought that may defend the other (the 2 reps from GGG of the interview) side perhaps...their remarks were quite intentional (despite the lack of empathy), and it was in doing so for the best for the future, i.e. prepare those that think there will be change and that it will be diff from PoE1 (end-game/mapping) but he already knows it's a lost cause (currently leaning towards they are in-the-know re. general community sentiments [and perhaps there really is nothing they can/will do]). However, playing devil's advocate, given the past history of PoE1 and what many others have said for their track record - this also isn't anything new in a way...so perhaps this is again no different, and history repeats itself once again (in due time).
To re-iterate (TLDR): post-interview, (personally) my current (until more data arrives from the community/YT/forums/Reddit/etc) bet will side on past history, i.e. "melee < ranged" and "zoom zoom 1-shot" -- so, no real changes from PoE1, essentially (with the main outlier of the campaign for the 1st ~60 lvls or so...lol --- and new melee classes like Druid/Templar/Marauder...lol [bye Warrior...lol {I don't count Monk...lol -- nor minion/Witch...lol}]) -- and timing-wise, I'll just say 2026+ (so, guessing 1 more year of gamedev until full Release post-this EA). (Post this interview w/ the 2 GGG reps, I just decided to bite the bullet and re-rolled Monk [finally?] for SSF [felt the additional handicap of SSF would help Balance it out...lol. {Merc lvl ~64, Witch lvl 21, Warrior lvl 66 -- considering trying out the Quarterstaff for my Merc -- Re-spec Again...lol -- and yes, will still be on the lookout for future Druid/Templar/Marauder...lol}]) Trade is EZ mode. ;) | Path of Trading ;) | "TLDR: -1 Devs ohhh" (Lol.) | "I've played a lot of videogames. Why are people thinking POE2 should be a clone of POE1 in the first place?
These two games are being operated the same time, POE2 is not meant to replace POE1. POE1 will not shut down. So if you prefer that type of zoom zoom play style, stick to POE1. This is like Frostpunk, instead of Frostpunk 2 being a complete clone of Frostpunk 1, they instead tries different ideas & systems. Unlike Ubisoft... I just seeing so much people having wrong idea of what POE2 is. From the get go already, from preview/interview many years ago, it was clear that POE2 is DELIBERATELY designed to be slower & combo oriented. And now people complain that the game is slow and combo oriented. WTF?? It's like you buying a product without knowing what it is, then come complain about. Also, this is alpha. Skill balance will be continue being tweaked. Plus we still have so many class and gems not yet available. Crafting features are to be expected be implemented overtime.
