Controller feedback

I'm currently playing with controller (Xbox) on PC and I have a few issues to bring up as well as some suggestions

Issues:
1. You can pick up items if there are enemies nearby. The character prioritizes attacking
2. You can not interact with objects while enemies are nearby. This is extremely noticeable in trials. You are unable to interact with the death crystals

Suggestions:
1. Allow for mouse and controller to be used. For example mouse can click and drag items in inventory for easier stash management
2. Include a priority button of sorts. Example: Push in left stick to change interact priority from enemies to other and vice versa

I want to +1 this.

As someone that prefers playing on controller - Navigating menus or picking up items from the world would be easier to just click on with the mouse.

Please have the option for this when using Controller, even if it's a "mouse override" option.
Agreed with both above as someone using an Xbox controller on PC. I mentioned in another post that both types of auto aim (Dynamic and Focus Fire) can also mess things up in the middle of a fight, so I'd like to have a toggle option that can cycle through:

1. Dynamic
2. Focus Fire
3. No Auto Aim

since sometimes, I just wanna shoot in the direction you're running, and I want to be able to look away from an enemy by running away without having my thumb on the second stick.
Work around is to bind >interaction< to something like Left Trigger + A, but it is not very ergonomic as it affects things like doors and item pickup.
Fully agree with your first suggestion. It would be great if we could use the mouse in the inventory and menus even when controller is active. This would increase the usability a lot.

I'm using an XBox Controller as well but I'm always using the mouse for inventory management and skills. I hope you suggestion is going to be implemented.
just here to second the complaints. crystal trials are a pain since you cant interact with the crystal until every enemy within a screens distance is dead. a smaller radius for it to auto-target enemies, or some sort of priority override for interact-able objects like doors and the crystals would be great. there also no way to exit a trial if you die, I'm forced to restart poe every time.
+1 for this we need this idea on full game.

Have started to play with ps5 controller for many pc games as its more relaxing for your wrists. In other arpg's they made the swap between controller or m/k seamless. If you start using the mouse it takes over control from the controller. If you start using the controller it takes over control from the m/k.
That way you can organize and manage things with the m/k and run around in the world with the controller. best of both worlds. Would love that here too! :)

Attempting to click on crystals in trials is very frustrating. I'd like vital environmental objects getting higher priority than the action bar, or having some kind of override available.
you can pick up items or interact with things when mobs are around while using a controller it's just not explained anywhere and looking at the controller key binds in the options doesn't indicate you can either. You just need to use the right analog stick to select the things you're trying to pick-up/interact with. The right analog sick also lets you scroll thru things on the ground so you dont need to pick up everything. That being said not being able to just swap to a mouse when interact the UI is just dumb. Like somethings the mouse works for but somethings it doesn't
