MTX being "unavailable" conspiracy

There could be hundreds of reasons for it to be available one moment and then removed the next during the launch.
As an example it could be an issue related to the MTX on the server side of things that doesn't necessarily translate to client side. I suggest that you take off your tinfoil hat and move on with your life. |

sounds like a good marketing play. people that own shit ton of MTX are clearly most likely to buy MTX in the first place, but if they already have their getup form poe1 why would they buy new ones that arent even out yet? also sense of familiarity is nice, so they might just stick to the old one anyway. so creating this 'issue' makes perfect sense.
even if all this is true, is it really that bad? they let us have bunch of stuff like tabs and all your mtx will eventually be available. they could of just said no to everything and ask for money. now sure its also good PR to port all of it, so there is that angle too. but considering its visuals you are talking about and the practical stuff all got transferred (beside the map tab which you cant even buy right now anyway) i think its not terrible... It's early access: expect some stuff to be funky and not work for a while. Barbie's Dream Closet is probably a lower priority than getting abilities functioning properly, minion collision and parhing, bugs fixed. A micro transaction may have previously worked, but have been disabled in the meantime because it was broken for some but not for all, hopefully disabled it for the time being. We don't know because we don't have their QA list. 100% MTX are on the list for sure, it's just a question of how far down the list.

Can only write what I wrote in another thread:
People really believe these non-sense conspiracy theories, even though GGG exists for many years now, having provided a really great game experience with PoE1 and never changing their "no pay2win" policy, even though they could've probably made way more money with lootboxes and microtransactions? I mean, they brought an update last week and a hotfix on top of that and they are probably working on more important stuff like content, before they fix all the MTX for PoE2. Don't forget people: If this would be a different company, they wouldn't give you anything. You wouldn't even get your stash tabs from the first game. Any other company would have asked you to buy everything again. So please, calm the fuck down and let them do their job. MTX will come, more content will come, more balancing will come. But everything just takes time... |
