Long Time Player thousand+ in support - one thing just made me quit
Not coming back until the game matures gets better balance and works through some of the early design decisions
im level 32 ranger in Act2 - go to the dreadnaught level. get what I can assume is maybe 3/4 of the way through stumble onto a super hard rare ... I manage to kill it and ... two lvl 11 white gear weapons, 2 level l3 blue armor, and a augment. ok I guess loot drops can be fixed ...continuing through the mobs are hard and the pace is grueling can't see what's coming enemies landing on me from who knows where no chance to dodge or fight before they hit me, then all of a sudden out of no where massive lightning storm engulfs me not sure where it came from somewhere off screen. This was probably the 6th time I was trying to run this map, over a 2.5 hour play session. Never made it, was always killed by something stupid and was forced to trudge through it all over again, and again, and again, and again, and again. This is not fun, and I'm only in act 2 of campaign. There is making your game challenging and there there is making it too damn hard. IMO until the zone resets the monsters should not re-spawn, I'm ok doing the walk of shame to get back to where I was when I died, but having to full clear these huge maps with tough mobs, and no checkpoints is. Well not enjoyable for me, not why I play games, and I feel it is a detriment to the game... unless zone resets, monsters should stay dead. Anyway signing off and will come back in a couple months after I hope they have had time to adjust and fix some of this stuff. The whole monsters not staying dead is my biggest complaint too. The difficulty level would be fine if you didn't have to clear out the same trash mobs over and over again for little to no reward. They also need to redo bosses health like they were in poe1. Chip away a chunk of their heath bar, die, chip away some more, die, and eventually be able to brute force your way through. Right now they're just giant brick walls that keep you from further engaging with the story

Not as big as factor for me but a noticeable one indeed. There's no flame dash, no frostblink, no leapslam. And yet the zones are huge, the village zone in act 1 is as huge as the lunaris temple.
And that place was bad enough when you died and had to walk back lol. Now you have to literally walk back and it's slow and painful. I don't struggle with the mobs that much but every mob is just a pinata...not a real challenge. Can't wait for poe 1's next league. Please ggg, take 2 down after a month of testing and fix the game. It sucks |

The way to fix the walking back in big maps problem is just to add more checkpoints. Honestly, for all the shit diablo 3 got, that going into ghost mode for 10 seconds is staring to look more and more like the best death system in any arpg

" This is my biggest issue aside from performance issues on console. I get they wanted to slow everything down but this is pretty rough. They want you to explore every nook and cranny for secrets and loot but there’s little of either and you run a greater risk of death the more you put off core objectives sending you into a pretty unfun loop. It’s like they wanted to stretch the campaign we got so they made exp needed for levels way too much or the gains far too little and they thought that clearing these large maps again was a good way to level instead of constantly pushing forward. On that note not a big fan of how necessary it is most times you hit a pack of monsters the need to engage them while back peddling. Combat flow feels weird with so much retreating being integral to not getting sent back in time 10-15 minutes and really since we can force open a new instance at will there’s simply no need for the souls like death bringing everything back with you imo. |

Act 3, level 45 ascended sorc here.
There are for sure things with the game that get extremely tedious and/or unnecessary feeling after a while. For one, I've been using the same caster staff since lvl 26 because every stave I find, I aug, trans and sometimes regal it. Every single one gets sold because they roll worthless mods, forcing me to wait for that "holy s***" moment when something actually does hit. The issue with this is I'm close to the end of the first 3 acts with very few meaningful upgrades for every piece of gear I have. Crap res, crap damage mitigation, crap utility skills that don't help your survivability (arctic armor, looking at you). Another is having to fight with the environment/arena as well as a boss. No spoilers: one boss you have to kill before you reach the end of an already narrow arena, or you have to restart the fight. Another boss (I'm still fighting, 18 tries now) the arena shrinks around you while she does massive aoe, has super fast attacks, AND the arena itself stabs at you. This type of gameplay is ridiculous and not in any way fun at all (for me), especially when the developers went out of their way to make sure characters are slow af and can't get that perfect I-Frame dodge every single time. It's literally killing the hype I had for this game. Last gripe: Chaos/Poison damage. There is FAR too much of this type of damage early on in the game with how very, very very little chaos res you can get starting off. There are others, of course. I really do love the game, but I truly do not want to go through another 40 hours of acts 1-3 again just to reach endgame because I know what what I have to look forward to; slow, sluggish, tedious gameplay with very little character improvements outside of the passive tree. This game is not supposed to feel like a chore. And, yes, some of my problems are skill issues. But others are GGG directly forcing me to play their game the way they want it to be played, which I have an issue with. |

" Lol this 100%. My monk is level 18 and will still die in the hunting grounds if I'm not careful to those poison spitters. I feel like they should've given us at least some base res even if it's only like 10-20% |

" --------------------------------- Hi, there. Rangers - LA - 3/4 in Act, around 29lvl. I feel you in many ways, tho i had probably more luck on items in vendor or gambling crafting. (runes were slowly grinded at least for 1 slot) I have around node even 350DPS For LA, mostly nodes i have in tree are basically just evasion, movements speed +/ some projectile and +ele dmg. (maybe i', approach wrong way here who knows) But i found a bit around bigger packs of mobs - Wind Dancer. That thing is saved me XX times, even vs Bosses hits. (idk if you use it) but for others Ranges i reconmend it, screws some others auras, this is first aid you need early or later game |
