Very long loading times - PoE 2

Currently, I'm experiencing some very long loading times within Poe2. I have loading times up to 3 minutes long in several aspects of the game: - Starting the game (3 minutes) - Between areas (2 minutes average) - Opening inventory (15 seconds) - Opening waypoint (35 seconds average) - Opening menus in general I've tried a couple things to solve, even though nothing worked yet: - Reinstalling - Changing between d11/d12 and vulkan - Changing all aspects of graphic settings - Verifying files - Checked drivers, both of OS and graphic card I really want to play the game, but can't due to this loading time problem. I've never had such problems in Poe1; played for years I hope you can help! Last bumped on Jan 10, 2025, 9:37:24 AM

I have the same thing.
while loading it seems the bottleneck is the CPU (constantly on 100%), the memory and disk are barely doing any notable work. my CPU is 9600K 32Gb of memory samsung 980 pro NVMe RTX 3080 while not loading everything runs smooth (while CPU is still at almost 100%) this is really frustrating. no setting change helped it I even freshly installed windows 11, same deal. really sucks out the fun of the game to keep waiting on loading screens. |

Have ya'll installed the newest nvidia graphics driver? It has POE2 for support and DLSS.
Also, OP you should probably post your system specs. |

My specs
i5-8400 32gb ram rx 6600 samsung ssd ---- I've updated the drivers, yes. AMD released an update yesterday. Didnt solve the problem tho |

I think they should add some shadercache option to load important stuff faster.

same here. got at least 1min loading for:
- until login screen (30sec - 3min) - char select (10-60sec) - opening the map, or click waypoints (10-60sec) - swapping zones in map (can be 5 sec can be 30 sec, can be some minutes) - changing zones (can vary alot from 10 sec ish to 2minutes. very random) - temple of chaos was also very long loading screen + invisible / late loading mobs ALOT win10 64bit i5 8600k ~ 4ghz 32gb ddr4 3200mhz amd radeon rx 6700 xt 12gb m.2 samsung 970 evo plus |

Same issue.
Intel i5 9600k 32GB ddr4 3000mhz nvidia 4070ti m.2 samsung 980 evo plus nvme also installed it on a non-nvme ssd i've tried vulkan, dx12, changing other settings drivers are updated |

same loading issues, opening the game 2-3 minutes to press login, 2-3 minutes for the character to load, 2-3 minutes for the map/hub to load, 2-3 minutes loading time for every map transition, every graphic option is as low as it can get, or disabled. but I do have a pretty old PC, but it should be in the minimum requirements, i got an i5-4460 CPU and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, the loading times are so bad that I can't even finish the 3rd normal act, because I'm tired of waiting for things to load every few minutes, even the acts map takes a few seconds to load everytime I open them to check if I missed any boss

I have the same issue, but not sure if it's shader loading or some connection issue. Music and minimap comes in first, and I can start moving around my character while the gears are still turning..
According to this thread: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3598827, some players seem to have luck changing server (i.e., not taking the closest/lowest ping). I'm gonna try that at least, could be worth a shot for anyone having issues. Edit: Seem to improve for me, I'm in EU and changed from Amsterdam to Paris, and things seem to load faster. " THANK FUGGIN GOD someone else is talking about this. I keep asking and asking and no one fkn answers me. 2 PCs this shi is happening to me on and I just upgraded my PC to play POE2. There should absolutely 1000% not be but 100ms MAX loading screen to open a dang map screen, and it's pretty much every single time it's taking 1.5 to 3 seconds. |
