PoE2: Ascent to power quest bugged (Cruel act 2)

same problem, sick.

Third Ascendency comes from maps in late game ( 65+) apparently. Not from the cruel difficulty acts. The UI is bugged for this as it indeed tells you to search Traitor's passage, but you can ignore this.

Seems this is happening to everyone. Hope there's a fix soon

I think the bug is more that the quest pops than the fact that you can't progress it.

I don't think Cruel is real, and it's just a placeholder for the real acts. If that's the case, then perhaps you're not supposed to get 8 ascendency by redoing 1 and 2 on Cruel.

i finished 2 floors and not interact button to get 2nd ascendency!!
anything is forgivable but bug in game system that inflict down power your character .. that's madness!!!

You need to finish 3 floors not 2.

It is in fact just a visual bug, as you can see when you do the Test it is called the Test of Strength (the first one), you have to do the other two; Test of Will and Test of Cunning. So if you open different Djinn Barya that still open the Test of Strength it means they are to low level. How do I know this? Because if you hover over the locked spaces in the Relic Altar it shows you what tests you need to do to unlock them. So doing the same test multiple times was never suppose to give you extra ascendency points, only items.
