Auto targeting is way too aggressive!!
It's awful, I hate it so much. Even hitting the bell right next to you on monk can be difficult.

Maybe making using the RS to project some kind of aiming area or line would be a good fix. Let auto aim fix to mobs when not RS'ing and then use RS to project a cursor or something similar

Using a skill on an ally, like your minion is really hard…. Most of times the cast just fails

I also have a problem with aiming - for example, a solar orb is usulally put in a random place where it is useless...

This became a huge deal for me on my first labyrinth run, the rooms where you need to click the crystals before the time runs out while enemies chase you. I basically had to run it with my right thumb on the stick and my right index finger over the X button, so that I could manually "point" to the crystal so I could activate it.
A controller isn't a mouse as bad as GGG may want it to be — I thought I was going to lose my first lab run because I couldn't just run up to a crystal and click it. |

Maybe this is the way the skill is intended, but when I try to run away from the big boss slam using my shield charge, my guy decides it's a game of chicken and runs right at him.
I'll blame auto aim until proven otherwise but this makes it not really work as a travel skill anymore. Is that intended? |

Skills that interact with minions are currently very unreliable when using a controller. Most of the time, the skill either doesn’t activate, wasting mana, or sacrifices the wrong minion when it does. It would be great to see a fix for this issue!

and yes, I also had a problem with the first labyrinth... I could not click on crystal and I died because of this.

I'm going to be the black sheep, & say that I really like the targeting as it is now. I had a problem with it at first, but then I understood that auto targeting helps me a lot and getting used to it feels great. For context, I play a crossbow man, and I switch between permafrost, incendiary, and galvanic shot with the face buttons. I need the auto target to be able to hit stuff while swapping ammo. it would be too difficult and unreliable to need to quickly swap from face buttons to right stick. I do, however, have R1 & R2 for my grenades, and I manually aim with right stick to get them where I want (on dynamic targeting). I will submit and say that there should still be an option to turn off aim assist altogether and have it on hotbar, so as not to interfere with gameplay when needing to interact with objects mid combat, like the people here are complaining about.
What about the special interaction hotkeys that are on L2 + down/up/left? Do those do anything to help you pick up items? I've never used them |

Please give us an option to turn off auto aim. PC and console players are complaining about it. The core combat is great, but auto aim is ruining it for so many skills/situations.
