+1 for controller/keyboard toggle

Due to new combat mechanics, I use controller when adventuring but would love to swap over to keyboard and mouse when in town, hideout, inventory, etc...

Hi GGG Team,

First off, thank you for all the hard work on Path of Exile 2—it’s shaping up to be an incredible experience, and it’s clear how much care has gone into evolving both the gameplay and overall design.

That said, I wanted to raise a long-standing usability request that I (and many others) would really appreciate seeing addressed:
The ability to seamlessly use Mouse + Keyboard alongside Controller input.

At the moment, POE2 only lets you choose one input method at the character selection screen—either Mouse + Keyboard or Controller. If you want to switch, you need to log out and return to character select, which interrupts the flow of gameplay entirely. There’s no way to freely alternate between inputs in-game the way many modern ARPGs and action games allow.

For example:
• Inventory & crafting is often far more efficient with Mouse + Keyboard.
• Combat and movement (especially on the couch or when relaxing) feels better with a controller.
• Other games like Diablo IV and Elden Ring handle this gracefully—letting you swap between input methods on the fly without any menus or logout steps.

I understand this feature might not be top priority compared to core gameplay systems, but considering how much polish and accessibility POE2 is aiming for, I believe this would be a fantastic quality-of-life addition that benefits a wide range of players.

It’s been several months since early feedback around this surfaced, so I wanted to re-surface the request in hopes it can be revisited or acknowledged. Even a rough ETA or confirmation that it’s on the radar would go a long way.

Dear GGG. My friends, family and myself have been loving this game! I adore both the first and second season, Its been fantastic!
I only have one piece of feedback / request! Trading sucks on the controller. Can you please implement Controller / Keyboard hybrid? or maybe even make it just so that controller is main while mapping but mouse and keyboard in town?
