same doesnt work with The Vertex Tribal mask. It says I can't upgrade, but I can level a new one and resocket it.

same here. Upgrade bugs out after getting Reduced attribute requirements small passive on the tree. Works only when unequipping and cutting a new spirit gem.

You can reskill you passive tree to meet the requirements for the upgrade. Then update the gem. After that you can reskill the passive tree again.

Same here when using "Strength can satisfy another attribute requirements of Melee Weapons and Melee Skills" affix
