POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

Guess all we can do is keep bumping every crash thread we see until they respond, no other game behaves like this for me, nothing on my computer actually behaves like this
Same issue, full pc hard crash on loading new zones. Not always, maybe more frequently when pc has been on for a while? Anecdotal.

Windows 11 24H2

5800x
rtx3080
32 gb 3200 ddr4

Same issue here.
Happens most when loading into The Ardura Caravan.

Mouse can move, but otherwise whole PC locked up. Alt f4, Ctrl Alt del, Ctrl shift esc all don't work.

same issue, some times i need to shutdown the computer up to 4 times in order to work, also with the new patch is not fixed

Yesterday it was fixed and I played all the evening without a single crash.

Today, first loading screen, PC freeze again...

Same here today. Ugh. I just want to play without crashing.
Ok guys, maybe I have good news.

Today I updated AMD drives (used the autodetect software) beside chipset driver it updated few other drivers.

https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html

Since then 8 hours of playing and not a single freeze.
Both Intel & AMD have recently seen voltage issues causing this locking behaviour.

Unfortunately this requires microcode update for the CPU and an update for Windows.

Without updating your BIOS any game/application can cause permanent damage and degrade your CPU performance.

This is not an issue with POE development, the same thing is occuring on many new titles.

To fix this issue update your BIOS to the latest version per manufacturers instruction. I recommend updating your Windows/Graphics drivers to the latest version.

Whilst in the BIOS it's also worth checking to see if your Memory XMP/EXPO configuration is setup correctly, if the crashes still occur try to disabling.

This issue is most likely to occur on Intel 13/14 and AMD X3D series with outdated BIOS

Keep us posted. Maybe this is it...
same problem, freeze while on loading screen to another part of the map or town/safe area... only reboot pc works to get rid of it
What has worked for me for 2 days now is to always disable Engine Multithreading in gfx options whenever i'm about to use town teleport or change map.
After loading into new map its safe to re-enable.

Just remember to disable again when you're about to change map.

Any other solution doesnt fix it completely; either the game crashes frequently or windows still fully locks up.

The toggling is somewhat annoying but fortunately the in game menu 'stays in place'.

win11/5800x3d.

And yeah, POE2 is the only game or app that has caused full lockups in years for me.
