Nvidia and others are being uncooperative based on the last dev interview:

This will at least accelerate the process.

Did anyone try going back to an older NVidia driver and did that fix it?
So, checking back after playing for several weeks without a single crash.

So, it looks like its it is fixed for me. Thats awesome. Also, the game just runs much much smother than before. They have done a lot to increase performance over time while this was going on.

Overall, im quite happy with how the game runs right now. There is still the occasional, drop to 50 fps, but they are far apart.

They mentioned the 24h2 freeze during the QnA. They said they have done improvements to the code so that the crash simply don't happen to most ppl anymore.

They still don't know what causes the freeze though.

Can you drop the link please.

I stopped tracking the situation knowing it's VERY difficulty to fix but it's interesting to check their thoughts about that. Also I'm not surprised they implemented workaround and not actual fix. At least it helps in some way. But it means the problem still presists and may appear in the future for some users / some configurations.

I am writing for people who have crashed their PC on the loading screen with Windows 11 24h2, the other day I was looking through the forums to see if they fixed this problem, I didn't find any reliable information, but I still decided to try installing 24h2.

I didn't do any manipulations, just a clean build, updated the latest drivers and that's it.

I sat in PoE, PoE 2 for half a day, went through the acts, jumped from location to location, didn't find any crashes that were there before, I hope it will stay that way, in general everything is pretty smooth, if there are problems I will write <3

winver 24H2 26100.3476
nvidia.app 572.83

rtx 2060s
ryzen 7 5700x3d (-30)
ddr4 fury renegade 3600MHz (32gb)

Which render mode did you choose?
While the snow remains,
veiled in the haze of evening,
a cold leafless branch.
Flowers are only flowers because they fall,
but thankfully the Wind.
