POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

looks like the only one working way to not get the whole pc freeze is by disabling atleast 2 cores in task manager, RIP if you have only 4 or 6 as the game might not want to load at all, task manager > details > set affinity for PoE2 - you have to launch the game first and then disable 2 cores IT WILL NOT PREVENT THE FREEZE OF CLIENT IT WILL PREVENT FREEZE OF PC AS A WHOLE. also once the client freezes for good you will have to repeat the process on new launch of the client, also the freeze might get more frequent.

" It's been there for a month and can comfortably sit there for a year more, what is stopping them? Why is it not fixed in POE1 ? |
" All you are doing here is ensuring that the next batch of people who read the last few pages are mislead, once again. |
" Based on my experiences, I would say they have made changes this week to try to fix it. They seem to have made it worse, though. But sometimes that will happen. |
" They likely be slamming chaos orbs at the game code rn seeing if any combination of lines hits and fix xD Jk, this things happens a lot i guess.. like a short blanket. Covering the head but not the feet, and vice-versa. Last edited by drx#8804 on Jan 10, 2025, 6:36:17 PM

0.1.0f hotfix1 made it worse, now i had a system freeze despite using poeuncrasher because it froze when i opened my inventory
It got worse since the hotfix.
Loading Screen is the new Pinnacle Boss. Tried to swap to POE1 again and got a full freeze during my first map. I never had problems in POE1...??? POE2 crashes every 3-4 map during loading screen. Basically unplayable. |

In the initial 3-4 weeks I had crashes. I tried everything I could find between disabling cores, process lasso, and various other workarounds that showed middling improvements.
After the last 2-3 patches that included hotfixes for crashes I decided to undo all my 'fixes' and I have had no issues for over a week now. Not a one. 9800X3D, Windows 11 Insider Preview. Just thought I should mention that if you haven't tried turning OFF your workarounds since any of the patches then they maybe making the problem worse, not better. It has fixed for some people. |
