POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

I had exact same issue with poe1. I only happend to get it because I bought a new PC. I installed newest windows image - win 11 update 24h2. And I thought my new PC is broken. But started digging and runing to reproduce this issue.
I've spent 2 days on this. What I managed to achieve is reproduction of this issue constantly in poe1 (it was before EA). What I did is I logged in, started game. 1 in 3 times this lock would happen. So that was the process. Start game, logoin, load, exit game. Then after 2-3 times it froze. I tried full sceen, windowed, full screen windowed. All graphics modes (dx, vulkan etc) In all modes I could recrete this issue and nothing helped, it kept on freezing after 2nd or 3rd or 4th run. PC locked and it seemed that only way is to reboot the PC. Then I tried another thing which is leave it be. When I did that the PC rebooted itself eventually and I was able to collect kernel dump which I inspected. It indicated some power related issues. And I'm writing that because maybe more people can try this and collect the dump and send it to GGG for inspection. Same here. Always pc completely freezes after entering a portal, 2 times while entering portal to town, 3rd time when entering time portal at act 3 after defeating last boss.

This is still occurring after the 0.1.0b update, happened on my second launch of the game today.
AMD 9800X3D + RTX 3060 Ti I had disabled the Engine Multithreading setting in the game's Graphics > Advanced Settings section and that seemed to fix it for the past few days, but re-enabled it earlier today thinking the issue was fixed with this patch but had it re-occur since then. See here and here if you haven't tried these yet and are freezing on loading screen.
Turning off 'Engine Multithreading' in-game may also stop the freezes, but it will mean you are only running on 1 CPU core. The above workarounds let you use most of your CPU. Last edited by Zarasi#7652 on Dec 9, 2024, 3:39:18 PM

Reporting the same issue.
Exclusively on loading screens, seems to be at any location, the game freezes the entire PC and a force shutdown is the only way to get out of it. I'd say it has happened 3/25 times. Specs: - Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI, BIOS date 07/17/2024 - CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D - GPU: MSI RTX 3080 VENTUS 3X OC, driver 566.14 - RAM: CMK64GX5M2B6400C32 (2x Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 6400MHz CL32) I am using the 3080 and not the 9800x3D APU.
