POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

So it’s safe to assume GGG went on holidays and no one is working on fixing this potentially hardware bricking problem with the game.

So this started after the recent update? I opened the game 3 times and all 3 times when loading into a new zone froze to death had to reboot hard. ain't cool people

Is there any update on this? It still happens to me
My spec:

CPU AMD 5700x
GPU 4070 Super

CPU: AMD 5800x
GPU: EVGA 3080 10gb
Windows all updated
All drivers and bios updated

This happens to me every day. But now it changed from freezing when changing a zone to making my computer restart when changing zone.

So I guess is an improvement because I don't have to restart myself right? :-)

Bei mir hat es aber auch mit Win Update zu tun...?

I'm running a 4080 super paired with a 7800x3d

I was originally on 23H2 and at the start of EA i played on the standalone client the first weekend.
Close after the first weekend i switched to steam version when i saw that it was fine.
That's when all my issues started happening (crashes and shader stuttering )

I reformatted to an earlier build of 23H2 on Wednesday and I've played roughly 8 hours since without any stutter or crashes.

However, i did use Kapps tool that he provided which helps a lot to mitigate further frustration.

I can finally play the game smooth and without constant crashing.
Might be some correlation between the two clients causing issue for the way the game handles shaders, i'm not sure.

I was on Win 11 24H2 with no option to rollback anymore and tried all the various workarounds in this thread, none was stopping the crashes completely. Had the best results with Kapps' PoEUncrasher though.

Did a complete fresh installation of Win 11 23H2 and the game runs perfect, no more crashes at all and high performance as i would expect. Loading is much faster aswell,taking just 3-5 seconds.
System: 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5 6000, 4070 Ti Super, SN850X NVME

So while not all your crashes might be related to the Windows update, i can absolutely recommend to rollback or reinstall 23H2 if you are on 24H2.

+1 here encountering the issue also in both PoE 1 and PoE 2.

This was a clean install of Win 11 (upgrading from Win 10), I didn't know that 24H2 had problems so I am not sure if I should roll back to a clean install of 23H2 (sounds like a pain since I don't have system restore or anything similar for Win 11, I'd rather just go back to Win 10)

All-in-all it seems 24H2 is pretty much broken, MS also has known issues with AutoHDR
