What i have seen so far:

Sceptre has 100 Base (only 1 wieldable)
You can get a x% increased spirit prefix on it

For the skills the reserved spirit drops when they level up.

There is a +30 Spirit reward for killing the Boss at the Tree House,

However iam now level 17 and at the end of Act1 and i only have the 2 Warriors from the Sceptre and 3 Arsonists. The permanent army is increasing painfully slow.

You can get scepters, those are the highest # of spirit per slot. They can also roll local % spirit increase.
Amulets have a rare base that can have up to 15 spirit, and you can roll spirit on amulets.
Chest armour also can roll spirit up to the 50s it seems.
The rest is 100 spirit from finishing the campaign twice.
Spoiler
30 in act 1 (i think king of the mist), another 30 in act 3 (some witch bozo in the bog) and then 40 in act 3 cruel (same witch bozo)

Some minions also reduce their spirit requirement the higher level they get, or with quality.
There is also a node at the top of the tree that makes the spirit requirement of minions cheaper by a bit.
As far as I can tell, you can get 30+ spirit on magic and rare armor and amulets at item level 16 and they require at least level 12 to use.

As a brand new player, the journey I went on to discover this information alone brands this game as impossible for casual players to understand. There are no casual POE players.

Where?

Top edge of the passive tree. Straight to the top and slightly left. 12% reduction, that's all.
Hello,

I hope that this post wasn't lost because I play a minion build (although I just began act 2) and I think that I can provide you a very good solution.

If you're planning on developing your minion build for the entire game, you need to unlock the Infernalist Ascendency Passive Skill. The Beidat's Will allows you to reserve 25% of your life for 1 Spirit per 25 Maximum Life. Since it's very easy to increase your max life, this is the perfect skill for a minion build.
