Personal preference. With these supports Fusillade also spawns max spirits each click. However you want to spawn them is totally fine though

Are you using any supports for the infernal hound or does it matter? Sorry, kind of new, and I'm not sure if it causes issues running supports on it or not.

I love using flame wall as opener.
Currently also using the skeletal sniper as some nice extra dmg due to its poison gas arrow exploding on burning mobs with 600% dmg.

I'd like to see a video showing how fast you clear groups and kill bosses with this.

SRS don't do any damage in this, that's with like +150% minion damage and all 10 of them pounding on a boss, and that includes with their fire resist debuffed. I cross checked this by disabling SRS, and it turns out most of my damage was coming from the fire attacks I was using to trigger SRS, not SRS itself. And that was with me specced for minion damage, and not spell damage. So stuff like fire wall and incinerate do more DPS than SRS.

SRS is alright for 30 spirit cost, it brings something to the table damage wise maybe enough to justify a 30 spirit cost, but perhaps not significant enough to make a build around it given other options.

Cast on ignite would also work for a similar build to this, that's what I've been using. Cast on ignite => fire wall and/or ember fullisade works well, and you can proc it off incinerate, and you'll get lots of SRS procs, only issue is mana, but if you got eldrich battery you'll probably be fine.

How do I know minions are bad? When a monk 10 levels under me, and with worse equipment does double my dps on bosses. I recently started a monk, and monk is a lot stronger than witch, I blitzed through act 1 no problem on him, zero deaths.

To be honest I have not yet used it. I went Altered Flesh into Beidat's Will then in hindsight realized it's smarter to do the re-spec thing. I'd focus on getting gems for the rest of the build first (or find/make a build that plans to use it permanently) and just throw anything you have that is somewhat useful onto it like AoE or Ignite gems. Just make sure it doesn't say "can't ignite" or "reduced fire damage" and you probably can't go too wrong.

actually i agree that SRS dmg is kinda low.
I run both
1- 3x linked SRS with Fire infusion, Martial tempo and fire penetration
2 - 3x linked Skele Snipers with Conc effect, Feeding Frenzy and Scattershot.

Skele snipers do around 6k (2x arrows per 3k+ aoe explosion dmg per cast) :D thats not considering flammability but with the Pain offering. Without Pain offering it is 4.5k dmg per cast. 4 snipers.

It takes eternity for SRS to do even close to that DPS output.

I am lvl 42, at A3 and do all bosses deathless. I burst any rare with just pressing Q 4 times to cast Sniper's command. There is just nothing for now that i can't handle with that setup.
Hound, SRS, Skele snipers as main source of burst dmg.

I am thinking to replace SRS with something else, they are mostly to finish off the stuff which haven't die from Explosion. Will check some other minion skills once i get lvl12+ skill gems.
PoE nowadays looks more and more like a fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players.

Interesting, I'll have to give the snipers a try.

*Edit* while people saying that SRS does good damage are trolling, this guy is 100% right about the explosive gas arrows hitting like a truck. That improves bossing by quite a bit on minion builds.

Can i see your skill tree + skill gems? I might switch from using SRS because it feels slow

It is not finished and i will probably re-spec soon, since did some unnecesary route. But it is very similar to what has Anomaly33 posted. I mean.. all the trees i saw for minion-based witch are very similar.

But yeah, i just killed A3 final boss (first playthrough) in like... dunno, 20-30 seconds? Didn't even notice what is he going to cast on me. Phase one was very fast.

Fully buffed snipers now doing 8k raw dmg/cast , I have 5.
Also running SRS 3-linked.
Both are doing good but Snipers burst just destroys.
