GGG are honestly possibly the last great games company. This is how it used to be with all of the best companies. Not anymore.

The good news for the servers is there will be pretty sharp drop off after launch I think. It's going to be a tough game. Lots of Blizzkids and determined casuals won't cope once they actually try to play - which is understandable.

All welcome, but it won't be for everyone.

Remember, it's not going to be souls-like. Jonathan at GGG already addressed that rumor. Sure the bosses will be more difficult, but this game isn't just for elitists. GGG wants to attract as many players as possible over the coming years.

Everyone has a different definition of "soul like" for me and most main stream ARPG players if I have to do mechanics and can't outgear them or have to use dodge roll. That is "Soul like"

As someone who is a Diablo 2/Last Epoch player who is used to looking at monsters and they explode. You know the typical ARPG mainstream experience. PoE 2 is definitely "Soul like" It's a difficult game. It has a lot of mechanics and you can be surrounded by monsters where in other ARPGs that simply doesn't exist.

I've never been cornered in Diablo/Last epoch I just teleport or delete the screen. I've told my friend tonight that while I'm super excited for PoE 2 it might not be for me because of mechanics but hoping it's immersive enough that makes me want to fall in love with it.

PoE 2 is definitely "Soul like" it has a lot of challenging mechanics. I'm optimistic though how they deliver them though. PoE 2 is likely a next generation game.

You can out-gear them or if you are really hurting, just over-level and then you'll be fine. And I'm glad the bosses are difficult. I got tired of how easy the bosses got in POE 1. It's about time!

Looks like deep fake.

You gotta be kidding me. First a delay and then they say they didn’t expect this many people in EA!?! I don’t even work in the industry and even I knew there was going to be at least a million. Especially after what Diablo did in pulling people into the genre.

This lack of foresight is extremely foreboding and seemingly prevalent

Yeah, it's just you... Weird joke? The video is straight from Path of Exile's YT channel with Jonathan himself.

And even if EVERYONE knows this, the forums will still be filled with whining threads.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
They deserve it. They crushed everyone else in the genre. I'm not expecting to play til Saturday afternoon but I'd like to snag character names today.
