PoE 2 is getting official DLSS Support!

Included in the latest Nvidia driver, see here:

Fuck yeah! :D

1. Drivers Updated

2. LOGIN
Windows 11 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD
but no frame gen what would save the games performance issues no FSR 3.1 wich makes frame gen avaible for all gpus

FrameGen is for when you are being bottlenecked by the CPU. And it still requires you to reach at least 60FPS, or else the input lag will be insane. PoE 2 is a different game, there's no reason to assume it's as broken as PoE 1 is when it comes to calculations.

Very good news indeed!
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
As kcjfs would say: "HAHAHA... YYYEEEESSTTHHH"

I mean... I dont actually NEED it because I copped a 4070, R 9 7900 and 32GB DDR5 6000 RAM for POE2 but still. Nice to have.
All God's children do violence.

Whether or not you need it hasn't been relevant for quite some time, people still haven't fully caught up yet. DLSS is not only better for your framerate, it's often visually better than native. DLSS has come a long way since its first iteration. Prime example of this is BG3. Looks a lot better with DLSS.

I am very curious to see how this works when people eventually unlock Path of Zoom, 2. I've read articles talking about CPU bottlenecks and how DLSS unburdening the GPU only narrows that bottleneck. I'm by no means an expert on DLSS VS frame generation and which hardware takes on the burden, though I understand how basic CPU->GPU works. And, that you can boil water on a 13900k while playing POE on max settings at 4k!
I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.

Correct, in a way. DLSS uses a lower internal render resolution, which inherently lowers the GPU usage, but you can make use of this in reverse by using DLDSR (Deep Learning Dynamic Super Resolution) to render at a higher base resolution with AI, then use DLSS to upscale from that (it scales down and then up), which makes it so that DLSS can render beyond its usual internal render resolutions, which creates superior image detail.

Bout damn time, thank you so much.
