Same, canada east server, also tried washington and texas neither worked.

What have they done?? I tried opening a map and it locked, couldn't take scarabs out or put anything in. then frozen and same issue on reconnect. Bah

I had this problem I was in one of the areas in Act 2 and eventually gave up on trying to play I tried restarting the game and it did not help. I was stuck out on the area and could not get back to a town.

Ok, so what is happening now? for the last several days I have been having "fail to join any instances" and it won't allow me to teleport. I have noticed that when in a map if I drop a SECOND portal scroll it seems to work and allows me to teleport out. Other times if I do something or wait a few more seconds it will also sometimes allow me to teleport out. Today, as soon as I logged in, I step on the waypoint and it won't allow me to go to Kingmarch.

This is happening to me too, i crashed while in the trials of chaos, now i cannot log in with that character. All my other characters log in just fine.
