Mana stacking Archmage - Stormweaver guide

Love the build idea and I'm pushing through with it, but I'm finding act II pretty punishing and the dmg+squishiness quite low. Any tips for early passives to rush for?

Cool build, I'm going for cold variant (frostbolt + ice Nova) But I'm currently low level and ice shards + frost bomb seems really good for shotgunning bosses.
Keen to see your progress and seeing what interesting mechanics you find. I'm playing a lot slower and hope I can learn from all your experiments haha. I'm too scared of leveling with lightning skills and feel safer with cold but I imagine in late game with the last ascendency node for freeze - maybe lightning skills will be the most dps |

For the +5 to any attribute, what have you selected so far? I am at the first node but the PoEDB does not show what option was selected.
