Path of Exile 2 Steam Client Key & Path of Exile 2 Early Access Key?
I have 4 EA keys.
1 Steam Key. 1 Epic key. Do I need to use both Keys to play the game in EA on steam, or just the steam client key? Last bumped on Dec 14, 2024, 4:37:26 AM

The STEAM and EPIC keys aren't really "keys". Once you are enabled access on your POE account through a key, you have access to the Steam and Epic "keys" simply to unlock the game on those specific clients. (Go to Steam, Top menu Games, Redeem Code or something similar to use the Steam key). If you try to give away the Steam and Epic keys, they will not do anything for whoever you give them to, as they are tied to your original key that gave you access.
If you go to the POE web>My account>Early Access, you will see the keys on the bottom which say something like "USED: False". Those are your extra keys that you can give to friends. |

According to what I have seen on various pages and forums, the Steam and Epic keys are to enable the download of the game depending on the platform on which you want to play. Then the other keys would only be necessary 1 to be able to play on the platform you want.

" So after I use the steam key to unlock the game, I need to use one of the EA keys to play it? |

No. When you buy the supported pack your POE account is automatically granted access to the game. If you bought through Steam your client likely already has access, just check your steam library. If not in your library, you can use the Steam code to add it to your Steam. If you have an extra access code listed underneath the Steam and Epic that says Used:False, those are the codes you can give to friends.

" No. Think of it this way, when someone uses an EA key their POE account gets flagged. This then makes two platform keys available (one on Steam, one on EPIC) which the player can use to get the game client on that platform. So you have EA access already on your account since you can see those other platform client keys. Your other EA keys can be gifted to other people who would go through the same process: activate the EA key here on the POE site, then use a platform key to get the game client. You can't give someone access by giving them the platform key either, since their POE account won't be flagged, and those keys do not "unlock the game" |

So i purchased the early access bundle through steam, have completed the pre download. Does this mean i am good to go as i didnt receive any KEY in my receipt from steam when purchased?
I am confused as to whether once the game is open to play im going to need a KEY i dont have? Cheers |

I'm confused, could somebody help me out? I have bought early access yesterday through Steam. I have downloaded the game and or preloaded it via Steam, it seemed like it did both in the Steam client.
However, I cannot launch the game "Game not released yet" via Steam. I also cannot find the 'key' via any ways in the Steam library. Has anybody got a solution for this? Many thanks. |

" You cannot launch it, because it hasn't been released yet. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Dec 6, 2024, 7:41:37 AM
