Congratulations on NOT being transparent, GGG. This would cost you nothing.

New FAQ update states that the cummulative lifetime support ended when the PoE 2 packs launched. What does lifetime support even mean, anyway?

Thats not the bad part. The bad part is not being transparent about this from the beggining, since many people, me included, bought the support packs to hit the 480$ mark(was 20$ short) so i could gift the key to a friend.

If we had this info from the beggining, i wouldn`t be mad about this, but this feels like a rug pull.

Again, what does lifetime support even mean if it has a deadline?

Fair point OP, I checked and it truly is recent change.

Try to email support with those 2 screenshots, and claim that you believe to meet this 480$ treshold. I just hope they can get to you before EA release so your friend gets the key in time.
I feel pretty, Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty, and witty and gay,
And I pity Any girl who isn’t me today!
Except it was obvious? Worked like that during the previous early access and people have been preaching the exact same thing for weeks before the stream happened. We just didn't knew the exact threshold.

People really need to learn how to read properly.
How am i supposed to read something that wasn't written? Thats the whole point of this post, that it was changed AFTER the packs were released. Cmon dude.
Yeah idk what to put here.
You could have just send a question to support if you werent sure. If you didnt spend the points you can always ask for chargeback.

You're supposed to read their mind

If you are from the EU, you can pressure them into providing you with a refund, because I think it would technically be illegal here. You are not allowed to change the terms and conditions of a product after it has been purchased under previous terms and conditions. A timeline was omitted at the time of your purchase, therefore you are within your rights to claim a refund.

For reference, I bought a GPU with a D4 digital bundle from a company last year, but the listing at the time of purchase did not match their current listing and my digital download was initially denied. I then sent them a screenshot that I made prior, showing that it wasn't my fault but their own, and I got my bundle without any further hassle.

You can always check if waybackmachine created a snapshot, if you are unable to produce one.

The provided IMGUR link has a snapshot of the wayback machine. It was changed today.

It's kind of just common sense though. It says "past" purchases. If they were going to count these supporter packs in those past purchases, then surely there would be a note on the 480 pack stating that you would get an extra key from it if you weren't already at 480 before buying the pack.

If you're a new player with zero purchases, of course you're going to want to know that the 480 pack gives you an additional key because you might want to give it to a friend. They can't assume you're going to read the FAQ. They would have definitely made that clear on the pack itself to avoid a ton of e-mails asking for refunds from friend groups who purchased an extra key by mistake.

I agree it could have been more clear but if you weren't sure you should have asked first.
Your proof is an addition to the post, most likely caused by thousands of questions and tickets.

If you've purchased a top-tier supporter pack for $480 USD in the past or have spent $480 USD or more in lifetime purchases in Path of Exile on a single platform

"
Your valid purchases will include any purchase that was made with dollars

This part's never changed as far as I know. If someone asked if I've spent $480, I'd assume it would be up to the point it was asked. They have a similar policy, where supporter pack upgrades require points to be purchased after their release. People just jump to conclusions.

They don't. They're entitled.
