This is a very annoying issue especially in 2024. Mac users represent a massive market. It’s the same argument you’d make with cellphone apps for iOS not being available for Android.

I downloaded Steam for the first time three days ago because I wanted a game to play during breaks from work. I’m a very casual (if that) gamer and initially wanted to play Diablo 4 on my Mac. However, since it’s not available for Mac, I watched a video recommending POE being a great alternative and works on Mac through Steam. That sounded perfect, so I decided to give it a try.

The first day was great, POE was really fun, I felt like I’d found a great ARPG to enjoy. Then, on Day 2, the game started crashing repeatedly on my Mac, like we’ve all been experiencing.

At first, I thought, “Maybe this is a sign that I shouldn’t be playing games between work tasks” lol
But I really want to play an ARPG right now and will not buy a console or a windows laptop for this very temporary gaming phase I’m going through (in 2 weeks I might be over it completely). So I’ve been reading up on fixes, workarounds, and watching YouTube videos, and now I’m considering buying Crossover to make it work.

That said, when I do get that crossover software (and provided it works) I’ll be tempted to just switch back to Diablo 4 at this point…

Just sharing my experience here.
Guys, I think I found a solution. As soon as you load, set /dnd On. Played for an hour without crash, then turned it off and crashed after few minutes
I noticed a crash when i received a message for trade ... makes snece to dnd
/dnd solves it. M3 Air / Steam.
thank you, buddy!!
this is working
playing over 1 hour already without crash :D
