Unable to select other account in Steam client post account merge

Hello, I am unable to select the correct account on steam client after merging with microsoft account on PC. It keeps selecting the top option and does not change to the correct one.

Anything I can do to fix this? Thank you!

If anyone is having the same issue it works on the stand-alone client just fine.

So has this issue been resolved or are we just out of luck playing until it is fixed? Merged accounts and now only have access to the old account with no characters on it.
Any update on this fix?
