Let's talk about the Settlers of Kalguur event on November 7th

Let's talk about the upcomming Settlers of Kalguur event on November 7th. IF you are playing Settlers already I wonder if it is really worth leveling new chars again for the what the event offers. Don't get me wrong I don't want to call the event a bad thing I only wonder that it "would run in parallel with the ongoing Settlers League. " If they would end the Settlers league on November 6th for example sure a lot of peoply would start all over again but now that it runs in parallel I'm not so sure tbh. I mean leveling a new toon is always the least appealing part of poe for me because I have done it countless times within the last 12 years. I only level a new toon because I want to experience a new game mechanic. But is 4% drop chance for some currency or some more monster density enough to make me want to level a new toon again? I doubt it. What about you guys?

Still busy with the original league (I'm THAT slow), but I might level one char to 50 for the free box and because I actually starting a new character... up to a certain point.

To be honest, I just wanted to play on fresh start so I don't mind small changes. New expansion or balance changes would be more welcome, of course, but I'm just glad that we all start from 0 cause thats probably the most fun part for me. I wasn't interested in current SoK league after 3 months of it being live but new start is the reason I'm gonna play more PoE1 before PoE2 early access.
I'm definitely playing it and leveling again, its a breath of fresh air for me because I'm a player that usually laser-focuses on challenges early in a league so I end up spending a lot of divines on that. But now I can go into a fresh league without thinking about challenge completion at all, do exactly the atlas tree I want and spend ALL my currency on my build. I wanna see how fast I can get all the gear for it, the mystery box is a nice bonus.

And the lantern mods are gonna make maps a bit more rewarding with no downside so that's nice. Sure leveling the town is gonna suck but now everyone knows how it works, I'm just gonna ignore it completely until I'm in t16 maps and farming 30-60k gold per map. And then I'm gonna upgrade buildings and reroll for rank 10 workers, though this time I can completely ignore atlas runners and maybe even disenchanters since it's only good when you're able to dust the uniques at max rank. so thats amazing.I only did atlas runners in settlers for chalenge completion, and I wasted over a million gold rerolling for those workers.

So yeah I'm excited for the event, honestly can't wait to see just how much currency I can make off Faustus since selling stuff like scarabs is soooo easy now.
Yeah, I'll give it a go. I also have huge Steam backlog which I will probably spend most of my time with next month, but I want to see what the addition of Lanterns does for gold drops, and the impact that has on upgrading the town. Plus, free mystery box! Who doesn't love that?
Remember, remember the 6th of December...
Honestly I think it would be better if they made the league ssf only and possibly have prizes for first level 100 and first person to clear all ubers. That would be actually fun to watch streamers compete in. Either way it's just something to do I'll probably have other games and stuff coming out soon that I want to try anyways so idk if I would really devote that much time to poe mini leagues either way. Sucks that stuff is delayed but imo doesn't make a big deal to me tons of other stuff to do rn.
GGG needed buff atleast gold drop rates by 10x no one wants to grind out kalguur settlement again its very annoying
Yeah grinding out the town again doesn't sound fun especially with how nerfed settlers town is now. At least recombs got buffed I guess.
Do we know if this can be done in a private league?

JK I'm blind, in the FAQ at the bottom you can't. Sadge!
