Little bit sad, should have delayed POE2 to feb/march instead and release 3.26 nov/dec.

Well, it is what it is

poe 2 is killing poe 1 little by little, a league lasting 6 months because of another game is a total disregard for those who play poe 1. poe 2 is a separate game from poe1 and those who suffer most from poe2's problems are who plays poe1. it's been at least 2 years since poe 1 has suffered damage because of poe 2 this last year mainly, 2 leagues in the last year and more than 2 years without updating additional end game content. not to mention the system reworks that brought more new problems to the game than solutions. Poe1 is a mess ggg can't follow a schedule with the game because he's betting everything on poe 2 and abandoning the people who dedicated thousands of hours to poe1, at this point we are lucky if we have 3 leagues a year it is sad to see poe1 being neglected because of the new favorite son. poe 1 is the best current game of its style but with updates every 6 months and the neglect with which it has been treated by ggg it will soon become an average game with no difference with 2 leagues a year and a player peak of 20 days for each league launch and 5 months of a void of content and playerbase until the launch of another league, but don't worry poe 2 will solve all the problems that crap poe 1 has which is the feeling that ggg has been transmitting in the last 2 years... At this point I already wish poe2 hadn't been announced, for me the game went down from the hype of being my new favorite game to being the game that killed my favorite game

As my original post got deleted due to unneeded negativity (which is how I do feel now after being loyal to you for so many years) I tell you one thing: POE is the game I do love and support. You hurt me. Big time.

I'm totally confused do we start a new toon in standard where I have so much currency and start building Kingsmarch from scratch.

Not really feeling happy either way.

I'm looking forward to trying POE 2 one day but if I'm truly honest you might have made it too hard for mere mortals and most likely I'm just going to stick to the original game.

I completely understand the sentiment here. Releasing Path of Exile 2 in February and giving players a classic holiday league for the current PoE would have likely kept the community happy and engaged through the winter. The Christmas season has always been a time when players come together for a new league, bringing a festive and lively atmosphere. It would not only satisfy players but also give Grinding Gear Games (GGG) a solid opportunity to polish PoE 2 further before its official launch.

A balanced approach could let GGG leverage PoE's established success while easing the transition into the new game. The current game has built such a passionate and active player base, and delivering content tailored to them could be just as powerful as a new release.
