Path of Exile 2 Delayed Three Weeks

Delaying the game is fine but announcing that at the time when you were supposed to have a livestream is not. Next time, just do it before we reach the next supposed stream if there'll be another delay.
I had planned my vacation to play, now it's all lost.

BAD....
Sadge
but my body will stay MFing READY

see the positive, more reason to not see the family at PoEmas :D

Watch the video again. He says that he thinks it would actually be possible to be ready for the Nov 15th launch date, but they're postponing by three weeks to make sure that nothing breaks during the infrastructure changes, since, if something broke, there's the possibility of people losing stuff they've paid for or their account becoming nonfunctional.
Imagine planning your life around a video game launch date and getting mad when it's postponed. [Removed by Support]

Take all the time you need. Yes im dissapointed but its only 3 weeks, i learnt my lesson a long time ago to not book time off for a release of a game anymore not worth the risk.
Crap... just had my paid leave approved 5 days ago and now I cannot undo it...oh well I guess I'll find something else to do then :D

P.S - I see ppl who say that planning for such thing is bad, unfortunately in some work places you have to apply a bit far back to be able to get paid leave and when ppl have a lot of paid leave days stacked up from previous years, we do like to simetimes use those leaves for the things we enjoy.

Peace.

dude, this is a simple technical action. Transition from one to another.
I want to say this is not a sudden big BUG, or the introduction of a new function.
this is what happened 100 years ago at the planning stage.
and.. SUDDENLY, in 2 weeks it became clear that there is not enough time to ensure the transition and testing)
Moreover, this does not even concern the gameplay and the game. but rather the hardware and databases. Do you seriously think that they are sitting here and they have ONE attempt to transfer the database, without the possibility of recovery, backup, etc.
I'm exaggerating. but holy cow.

Still that was most likely the case weeks before also, which could've given ppl time to plan accordingly, for most its not possible to plan a holiday 2 days before they want to have time off. Also if you listen to the video too he says its infrastructure work that is behind, they only said that the base game would be ready in time. You just would not be able to buy stuff most likely what the issue is. But if they planned to migrate everything to newer systems then the infrastructure work must've been started months, if not years ago, so with that scope in mind hard to believe 2 weeks before this announcement they did not know they wont finish in 4 but will need at least 7 is what I meant.
