PS5 only in game chat is not working

people can see what i say but i cant see what they say multiple people i know with ps5 version are having same issue. Friends who have the ps4 version used psn chat to message me saying they see me talking but i dont see their response. Thanks.

Just got treated like an idiot by the support team bc global doesn't work but it doesn't give an error so that means it works as intended according to support staff.. rule 1 test, give that a try once test once it's very simple everyone else does

It's 100% not working as intended can we get some ggg input on this or what?

I have thousands of hours in playing this game i havent changed anything all i did was download the ps5 version and the chat is acting like i have said now. It worked fine using ps4 version.

Also when i approach someone in a town and interact with them the only option i get is "View Profile" i use to get lots of other options like whisper and such but thats not there anymore.

redownloaded ps4 version to be sure logged in chat works fine. Log into ps5 version immediately after and chat dont work. its not on my end it is only on my native ps5 client that chat doesnt work.

Just in case some people are wondering, this is not an issue that affects everyone. I know for sure I haven't had it.

Also, I don't think there's a setting that would do this... but you do need to redo all your settings (sound, notifications, CHAT, etc) after getting the PS5 version. It doesn't copy them over from PS4. (At least, it didn't for me). Probably worth taking a look, in case that helps anything.

Yeah i've redone everything im not hiding global chat as i see what i type when i type in it and people tell me they see what i type by sending me psn messages. I just cant see what they are saying in global or anything they cant use the whisper function from trade site to send me trade offers or anything. And when I see someone in a town and click them the only option is check profile not the usual stuff like whisper or trade or any of that.

Thank god im not the only one with this problem. I have the EXACT same problem as OP does. I have both version of the game, I launch the PS4 version and all chats are working fine, close the game and open the PS5 version and all chats are just no working anymore.
I even re-downloaded the PS5 version multiple times, I have look into every setting in the option menu ingame and I have set every option like I had in my PS4 version. And is not a PSN restriction settings because I have no problem in the PS4 version of the game, its only happening in the PS5 version.

Sorry for the long text but I literally dont know what else to do :/
I hope a GGG Staff can look into this problem please.

Dont know if it is worth mentioning but Im playing in Brazil servers.
