It was out of date when it came out. Have you seen this page on 21:9 or 32:9? It's just a mass of empty space. There's no live reply notification. There's no live user responding in topics.

It took them years to start uploading videos in higher quality and the desktop wallpapers they've given out were 800x600. With OLED coming online no one is going to use static wallpaper anyways.

The forum software absolutely needs an upgrade. Give me the ability to show my appreciation for someone's post with a like button rather than having to quote it would be a nice start.

I'd also like an ignore feature so I can bypass some users. That would probably go a long way to improving some of the conversations around here. I'm certain there's people here that would want to ignore me and I certainly don't begrudge them that :)

As for the topic de jour, set the viewable badges to a maximum of 8 but cue as many as you want and they can just endlessly scroll - everyone wins!

I don't know how I feel about ignoring users. I get it. I really do. Maybe they can make something work. Personally, I've mastered the art of 'polite insults'.

The whole point of a forum is to promote discussions. That's why things like live update replies and "X Users are typing..." in a Topic page can really help. You type a reply then see that user typing back, you might hang in the Topic for a second and see what they have to say.

For the badges even something simple as letting the user edit the forum table can go a long way. I doubt many people are browsing in 800x600. Myself being 21:9 could make the tables wider.

Put the badges to the right of the Avatar Icon. There's things they can do, they just don't.

Yeah, I would prefer there to be no cap.

Maybe they have to make a few changes and let an extra badge or two be in each row. I'll never reach cap, but I like seeing people have a huge stack of badges.
