Fine as is, and t17s became braindead easy this league.
Mash the clean

Learn to play or learn to farm? T17 are not necessary for currency generation, they are also not that hard now. This was their 2nd nerf in a row? Don't know what more you want

It's a mindset thing for most ppls. If u see someone on stream giga juicing t17s with a multi mirror molten strike of zenith build, don't think you are entitled to do the same^^
You could just be disciplined and roll your maps very easy and use cheap but ok scarabs and swim in gold and enjoy a div drop or a valdos drop here and there while accumulating fragments...First ten maps i completed like 3 with boss, now i am on a roll and completed like 25ish in a row without boss wipe, because i learned how to roll them. My maps don't have the highest stats but i have a smooth gameplay experience and that's worth a lot to me :) From my observation, it is also proven by now that even the most expensive scarabs are still profitable in a dedicated t16 juicing strategy. " well, you roll for high currency, high chance of scarabs, some people want high rarity + high packsize. Even though they are not technically map mods, they are characteristics of the map, which you have to roll, that are net positive. Get a char with decent ehp and don't be stingy with your chaos orbs and you are fine. And even if every 4th map is a brick, you would still make profit, althoug that might be frustrating so better waste some more chaos orbs... Last edited by Strickl3r on Sep 7, 2024, 9:40:11 AM

Map mods are clearly not just detrimental. Every single one comes with a combination of increases to quantity, rarity, packsize and in T17s also currency, scarabs and maps.
If they were just detrimental, players would run T1-T16s without any modifiers. I agree that we need a broader selection of map mods after the removal of so many modifiers as it made some of them almost mandatory again because of their rewards but they don't need to be more beneficial than they already are. |

I feel like a lot of players are scared that if beneficial mods exist it would muck up their quant and loot. Map mods just aren't interesting.
What I want is GGG to remove regex and make it so we don't want to use it. That whatever system they come up with is so well thought out and designed bricks are immediately obvious. But what we have now is a jumbled mess that is difficult to read, and you have to do a lot of napkin math with your mod effect. |

I think that trying to paint mapping as a false dilemma and then trying to copy another game with a mechanic that fundamentally doesn't work any differently than altars will somehow fix T17 is... weird?
Ruthless should be [Removed by Support].

" Says the risk vs. reward concept the entire game is built on. Asking for more interesting modifiers is a completely reasonable critique but wanting to be rewarded for having an easier time than the baseline of difficulty is how you get players to go back to running 2k life deadeyes. |

" I think the problem with that is, that everyone else has to use 100 more chaos to roll their maps aswell, because the "beneficial" mods dilude the pool. Imo it shouldn't be a map mod, but rather a Scarab. If u want a fun map with some extra buffs, it should be a scarab like "bisection", but maybe with a certain penalty like -rarity or quantity. U can have ur fun maps, but get less then others, so it will not become mandatory to run. Otherwise Scarlet is pretty spot on, PoE is build upon Risk and Reward. U want less risk/challenge, u will get less rewards. |
