What are your thoughts?
I'm not one to post on forums but I can't help but wonder what people are thinking about some of the recent changes over the last few leagues.
You're free to disagree with me but these are my thoughts. I really like the game; I've sunk a lot of time and money into a "free" game. That said, the recent changes and massive focus on T17 mapping has really sucked the joy out of the game and significantly changed the balance of it with most end game content getting the short end of the stick. Delve, Heist, even T16 mapping seem all lack-lustre now. IDK. Am I wrong to say I feel that the recent changes are pushing this game into becoming a one trick pony? If that's the case and that's the direction the dev team wants to move, that's cool with me. It's their game but count me out. What are your thoughts? Cheers. Last bumped on Sep 7, 2024, 12:40:29 AM

i agree. even 8 modded t16's doesnt seem to give much loot these days. they are really pushing people towards t17's. a lot of people will tell you that t16 is just as profitable as t17 but i wonder if they just say that so GGG doesnt nerf t17.

From my point of view game was never in better condidtion. I enjoy it a lot.

I mean, the loot has been increased exponentially. Everywhere. People are just rigid, they don't want to change what they are doing. Or are simply too lazy to find a better strategy. So they say "everything drops in T17" and give up

They continue on the same path, the game gets more intricate, more PoBing required, more and more investment for a build that can do all the content.
Each added feature becomes required rather than optional, each crafting method because necessary or buying it does. Thats not good or bad. Just the direction and the normal game bloat. They're trying to keep the core audience happy which lives and breathes PoE. Of course they have to make game bloat, make you do 20% more next league. Sure nolifers deny it, but look at what it took to do 134 million dps and do all content back in 2.6 https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1769788 Compare that to an endgame build these days. Dude is using 2x Scourge claws, which have never cost more than 10c. Anyway, not good or bad, just the direction.
If you can't be a nolifer maybe it's time to quit?

Johny, baiting for reactions with your bad take? Or is that what you honestly believe? Cause that would be wild :D
I think they are really consciously making the game more time consuming with all their changes since 3.15 and it feels like we are simply being rewarded for our grind with more grind. At some point the magic just dissipates and all you see is tedium. Whats next? Uber Uber Uber Maven? Or some new superduperdimentional bossman with exclusive drops that are new best defensive layers or strongest offensive multipliers in the game to grind for ofc? Maybe it would be good to expand the midsection of the game instead of constantly taping shit onto its end. I also dont appreciate them taking something that straightforward and simple to do and making it into another rng gamba progression stifle. I am talking about us using hillock research for flask quality turning into vaaling our flasks hoping for the best. Thats just dirty. When fallacious arguments aren't convincing comes the biased moderation. Last edited by Bosscannon on Sep 5, 2024, 3:07:51 AM

" Maybe if you are a nolfer, you should really consider quitting?
" That doesn't work why would he quit when everything is going well for him due to no lifing? Unlike you who can't do that. And they're not going to change the game for you lmao it's even in poe 2 and it's much harsher and harder. Dys an sohm
