Has GGG said if POE 2 will sell Hairstyles and other character MTX?

Since Diablo 4 has gender swaps and hair styles etc

Why can't POE 2 have such nice things?
Look how Awesome my MTX Marauder RF looks

Cause PoE2 is a different game and not D4, obviously.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Oh hey, Trinigamer baits are back on the menu? I'll bite.

1. This isn't D4
2. You're playing as a existing character, not your original character
3. The game you're looking for is here: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/

It was mentioned in the first POE 2 streams that gender swaps may be available through cosmetic MTX.

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks
d4 has makeup ;)
Well, in this case, I wouldn't hold my breath over it unless you look really good in blue. =^[.]~=

If GGG paywalls gender options in their f2p game, they are going to get clowned fucking HARD.

Tbh I think they really missed the boat here on PoE2 not having an option to begin with. Just a brutally poor decison, for no good reason if you ask me. Hell the game has been in development for many years, and they just couldn't find the time to do this? Lol. Lmfao even.

I can't wait until a game journalist or content creator asks them about the decision to not have a gender selection during the media blitz.

There a plenty good reasons for this. But then again, what is so "lol" and "lmfao" about it? Would you rather have GGG focus on their vision, deliver a top tier product, or waste budget and resources to fit some narrative or to tick a checkbox? Easy choice for me.

Then what? Cancel culture much? Nothing will change and it shouldn't.

Path of Exile is one of those titles where I get to enjoy a done character as intended by the developers. They are telling a story though that character. I don't need sliders, wigs, makeup or pronouns to enjoy a existing character. There are other games and genres for that.

Plenty? Enlighten me on a few.

And what does a gender option have to do with the quality of the product? That's wild.

I'm not talking about adding this to PoE1 since the work and development on the old rigging system, wouldn't produce any RoI. No arguement there.

PoE2 is different. Jonathan already talked about how easy the new rigging system made character modeling and increased their design flexibility. Its certainly not a time related issue given the development scope since 2019. And it also can't be about money. They are not an indy developer, and part of a massive publisher portfolio. If they tell Tencent they need more devs to help with PoE2 they are not getting denied, nor is GGG on rocky financial grounds anyways.

Hell even a narrative decision doesn't make sense since the game isn't even out. They can literally tell whatever story they want, and to gender lock those stories arbitrarily makes no sense. Like a male Ranger doesn't exist, or there are no female fighters in Wraeclast. A Warlock instead of a Witch isn't exactly breaking new ground here. What are we even talking about?

In general this is some low bar stuff imo. I'm not talking about GGG getting "cancelled", I'm talking about them getting rightfully scrutinized for a questionable development decison than benefits NO ONE on the consumer side.

A very good one would be backwards compatibility to existing mtx, be it earned or paid. Especially paid. That was one big promise back then and still holds up. They want to release a polished title as soon as possible and one can imagine remodeling and rigging hundreds of existing pieces for new models, no matter how advanced your tech is, takes a lot of work and time. Then you casually double that by forcing gender options into your game. It doesn't take a genius to see that this just isn't a high priority, if at all.

Being locked into a Sorceress and not having a Warlock is not a deal breaker. The game plays the same as either. Would it be nice to have? Absolutely. Should GGG go above and beyond to make this a priority? No, they shouldn't. PoE did just fine without and so will PoE 2, if they chose to not offer this feature.
