You're not.

Yes it's a very annoying problem. I wish ports would ask for some other ore besides crimson iron or verisium. This "common" ore doesn't really spawn that often in my experience so the hundreds of thousands of ore being demanded isn't really feasible for me. You have zero control over this, but GGG can't give you a small RNG break or some way to mitigate this issue. What a stupid mechanic.
I have the same problem with orichalcum. All my current favored resource orders are blocked, I need a total of 715k orichalcum. Given that a single encounter gives me around 1000 ore (worth 5000 after smelting) and I find orichalcum maybe every second to third map that is about 350 maps before I will have filled all those orders. There needs to be some mechanism to re-roll orders or make it less punishing to send non-favored goods!
That's just 137000 bars
Even if you fullfill all these quotas with 137000 bars, it's gonna be the next iron that is in such demand. You realize there is no end to this?^^ It's not a game for completionists.

That is true but the game and the game's economy are balanced around getting a significant amount of rewards from shipments this league and the problem here is that bad RNG luck can block all your shipments and leave you with the option of either shipping out unfavored goods or holding off shipments for days while waiting for the right type of good to fill up.
I tried fullfilling quotas with one large shipment. Wasn't worth the effort.
Farming scarabs or stacked decks with micro amounts while saving up for very large shipment or sending x amounts of each grain to fish for a divine every so often is far superior and you don't need a quota for that.

You're not supposed to keep up with it 24/7 with each shipment
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
Can anyone enlighten me if there's an actual benefit loot-wise fulfilling their requests instead of just shipping big bulks of other random stuff? Ores give gear anyway, while people are mostly interested in currency.
