Yes, they swallowed it.

you had a huge number you thought was correlated to the amount rewards you receive. This number has changed. Nothing else. Without knowing anything about how the value of shipment value correlates to given rewards, or at least actual real (and broad) data you don't actually know anything. Well outside that some number has changed. RAAAAGE

I feel like my shipments, same as before in terms of regular goods, but with more dust, now bringing a bit better stuff. need to test it out, but already got 2 raw divs from one.

Exactly, I'm also running shipments with lower values but with similar cargo sizes and haven't found that much difference to before. Still testing and spreadsheeting through.

I play SSF though and so far the returns I get from shipping seem to be significantly less than before to the point that I don't even want to bother with it anymore.

It just seems to have a scaling problem where the costs keep going up but the rewards stay the same or get worse as is the case with the dust nerf.

The pirate is also awful, it takes me 15 minutes to deal with him and there is zero reward it is merely the mitigation of loss. Not fun.

This right here is peak GGG logic. Make everything as complicated as you can without explaining anything.

I just put random shit in the ships, send them out and just wait for the random "free' stuff. I'm not gonna even pretend that I understand how it works.
Same thing with the mappers. They die randomly, the % chance to die seems pointless (but no explanation as always). Rewards also suck, but some guy got a mirror, so who the fuck knows....RNG, maybe?

I don't dislike complex games, I dislike bullshit. I'm really skeptical that POE 2 will be free of this; no matter how much they say it'll be easier to understand. GGG love to be as cryptic as possible.
meanwhile im still getting divs and lots of good shit and am happy

enjoy complaining about not getting enough free loot in the best league in years

I'm getting much better results overall post patch, I really don't think you should pay attention to the shipment value without knowing the background scalar it is pretty irrelevant and when dust provided an enormous multiplier the number was likely irrelevant already

How does it work out for you? have you saved a lot of dust and double up on your shipment value or do you just send like 10k dust with slighty better results now as you mentioned?

Got to love how people just look at the shipping value number, but not what they get in return and then go complain. Some people can never be pleased.

I'm playing SSF, 2-3 hour a day max, and everything looks as great as before for me, I guess that is I have not yet been able to send huge shipments. Divines have never been easier to get on SSF. I do notice I'm running our of resources faster now so I guess I better stick to small shipments, they give me all I need anyways.

I ignore the shipment value I always have, my standard shipment is whichever bars are required at port +3000 of each crop and 20k dust.

I think that is part of why some players are thinking they got royally cucked and i'm not, I never aimed to get a shipment value because the number always looked like BS to me whereas the supply of bars/food etc is rate limited and clearly what will define your pulls on the one armed bandit.

So my advice is send the same as you did prior to the patch, ignore the shipment number completely and rewards seem slightly improved as advertised.
