Mac Installation Failed
OMG this works for standalone AND for steam client too for those who had "unable to connect" message!

In fact, it works if you establish a connection with the standalone patcher's POE server and then launch the steam version.

For whoever managed to get this far but ends up with the "There has been a patch you need to update to." error and can't find the update.dat file in ~/Library/Application Support/Path of Exile/
-------- - Download PoE from the official PoE site - Follow @natanaelsilvaa#3931 's fix : "Open PoE. Let it crash and click move to trash. Open finder and press Cmd+Shift+G. Paste "~/Library/Application Support/Path of Exile/" in the text box and press enter.) - "now drag and drop the deleted file that is in the trash and put it in the path of exile folder" - !!!! At this point, copy the update.dat file to another folder. - "open the application from the application menu (launchpad) it should start installing it now" - Once the game is installed, running, and you want to login, you should get the "There has been a patch you need to update to." error. - Move your update.dat file back to ~/Library/Application Support/Path of Exile/ - Rename it to update.zip - Unzip the file, you'll get a "Path of Exile 2" app (its not poe 2 tho, its just that there was already a "Path of Exile" app) - Open Path of Exile 2 - It works. |
