3.25 QOL will be served under a layer of jitter if GGG misses this QOL again

Update 6 August 2024:
It looks like GGG did improve the server situation alongside the launch of patch 3.25, The first 10 days of the Settlers league went smoothly, way better than the past 3 leagues.

I hope it stays this way when I start mega juiced maps, which usually overwhelms servers and increases instance crashes.
network isnt the only issue. i got perma 7 ms on canada est server and its still not pristinely fluid.

was more fluid last league actually. not sure what changed.
I too, am in the IT field. It's not necessarily a server issue. I don't believe the game engine handles the new crap they added in the maps for mining nodes.

You can have a Ryzen 7800x3d and a 4080, or an intel 14th gen i5 or better with a 4080, and see HUGE lag. Any time you're approaching these nodes, the FPS goes south, and stuff jumps all over the screen. The only node that doesn't seem to do this is that tree one (amber?).

If there was a way to turn off these nodes, I am sure most mapping would be fine.

Personally, i'm running an i5-12600kf and a 6700XT 32gb ram. Overkill for this game. And it tanks when nearing the nodes. Everything tanks, ping, fps, the whole chart takes a dump. It's their engine.

Later today going to try Vulkan, I heard that helped some folks. But man, what a mess this is for hardcore players.

True, it is sure not 100% the server's fault, but when the engine is abnormally recourse hungry and can't be fixed by making better code within deadline, then using more powerful servers is the obvious solution, this is why I refer to it as a "overloaded servers" problem.

Also I can confirm that the client's Hardware doesn't play much role in this(unless wooden PC), I played on various devices and sometimes on Nvidia Now Ultimate, and consistently got similar experience across all of them.

And yes, some content has heavier impact on servers, for example from my experience maps with affliction encounter still stutter badly(but not as bad as it was in 3.23),
But I noticed improvements in 3,25, Most obvious and significant is the lag and instance crash caused by blight in maps, it was the worst during 3.23 with +40% instance crash, and about 20% in 3.24, It made me do blight Only after I fully clear and tp the loot to stash, so I don't lose the whole map investment.
This league I got a lot less stuttering during blight and maybe no instance crash caused by it.
