To be fair, D2 had 15 acts, as it had three difficulties. I think it's important to mention that, when you compare the games. Especially when you talk about PoE going from 4 to 10 acts; they also removed the requirement of doing all acts 3 times.
I haven't looked up how fast the fastest players can finish all acts and difficulties in D2, but I doubt it's a lot faster than the PoE acts, but I may be wrong. Been a long time since I played LoD.
MrLlama is a known D2 speedrunner (not sure if fastest). Around 4 hours for all 3 difficulties.
Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

So a little bit slower.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Yeah once you know the route with countess and early runes D2 is very doable in 4-8 hours. I don't think most people who play PoE get the campaign done in 8 hours though. Probably closer to a couple days on and off. PoE does have early crafts that make leveling easier for sure.
D2 is simpler in the sense the layouts are pretty generic. It's also not overtuned league trash beating you to death on your way up.

Most veterans pull the campaign in 4-6 hours, especially if it's not your first time on a build
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

Every day, every hour, there is a post from someone quite literally venting their rage with their keyboard about something that makes their character look bad.
I think the community needs to toughen up and try to push their characters to overcome the new challenges.
I am sick of not being able to even open Reddit and browse the awesome achievements you folks have made, when all I see is "t17 bad, mf bad". It is as if the average person posting here and on Reddit has zero awareness of the game outside of their little bubble and assumes that it is some how everyone elses, or even GGG fault because they had a bad time.
There are issues with the game, do not get me wrong, but one example is if you spent 5 minutes searching youtube you WILL find hundreds of strategies that make MORE divines per hour than "MF party play". If t17 are too hard, then invest in some defences this league. I would normally run 50m dps on my build in previous leagues, but this League my end goal is only 20m. Right now I am doing only 5m damage and t17 are super easy.
Like I said, it is quite literally ignorance and frustration making this community look hella embarrassing, and I want to go back to the days of feeling good when browsing the forums because timmy found a GG watchers eye.
Oh and also, maybe consider the fact that for every strategy you complain about, you are infringing on what someone else finds fun. You are not the only one playing the game.
All I'm hearing is that you beat the game but won't move on.
Reddit would be ------> thatta way

+1, plenty of people complain about having low currency and then you ask them for their strategy/atlas tree they refuse to answer, and when you check their challenges they’re somewhere mid yellow maps with like 60 done overall.
Headhunter too expensive, few posts later same people scream headhunter too cheap, and they think that if they will put farm belt on they will suddenty do all content (but they dont).
People think they „deserve” same resoults as others who run 100x more maps than they did, or what they saw on streamer clip (compilation of best drops).
Some copied a build, think they uderstand how it works (but understand just 5% as they just copied most, bought the items not knowing how to prioritize mods, not even mentioning how to craft what they need), and they end up complaining how that build (not their character) cant do harder maps (but others with that build can, because its not build at fault).
We had posts about people having res cap, 20% block chance, 30% spell suppression, nothing else and complain that defence is useless.
Instead of improving and getting better at the game, they chose to create a topic demanding game to adjust to them. And it indeed looks embarrassing.
I 100% agree with OP.
Biggest compliments for my crafted items - "bs, they must have been RMT'ed"
