Not quite sure what you'd expect here. Abyss spire bug got fixed (no more extra proj), you're not running MF, Wandering Path Atlas passive is gone and there's no Affliction juice anymore. Your map is below 200% quant aswell... Abyss strategy doesn't work anymore.

Seems like a pretty normal map in terms of loot assuming you're using a lootfilter removing garbage rares and all the other crap.

seems normal to me too, do we really want to be picking up more shit than that every map?




i dont recall ever swimming in rares before brutus either, ive never really kept track but i cant imagine i was regularly wearing more than 1 rare item by that point in the game?

maybe i had found a couple but usually just unusable vendor garbage?

The heck are you talking about? I'm not expecting anything from abyss. I juiced the map with atlas and scarabs and it had the same mob density as regular alch and go yesterday.

Pretty sure it is nerfed. I haven't exploited Abyss spire or not even playing temp league last league, but the loot nerf is quite obvious

in 3.23 i have to bring wisdom scroll to map as my ocd plus using only neversink strict filter , i am swimming with unfiltered rare that need to pick up


in 3.24 i barely saw rare that is not already filtered.

Unless you told me neversink suddenly change the filter strictness tier, but not GGG nerf the loot

Yes, it's obvious something has been nerfed by a good chunk. The new scarabs don't seem to do much at adding more mobs either. It makes mapping pretty depressing to do.
I'm hoping it's a bug like pack size doesn't scale, same bug that happened two years, or so, ago. Non-juiced t17 map seem to have bigger packs of mobs compared, but it's difficult to really compare those maps are just tunnel-like corridors maps.

The Atlas passives that improve drop chance for guardian/elders/conqueror maps seem to work ok on the other hand.

After playing a bit more, I maybe pulled the trigger too early.

Ran into a freaking Legion in that area right after Brutus, and since then has been pretty normal rare drop rates.

I guess I just REALLY had terrible terrible luck at the start of this one...bound to happen once in 12 years

Surprising to see a Legion so soon, and haven't seen one since....also had a ritual in Act 2, and the corruption room in the vaal temple. Interesting surprises.

if I recall the patch notes had a change to loot conversion,

Rare Monster item bonus mechanics are now rarer, and the following item bonus mechanics have been removed: Items dropped are converted to Gems, Items dropped are converted to Scarabs, Items dropped have all White Sockets, Items dropped are Duplicated, Slain Rare monster gives increased Experience, and Slain Rare monster gives increased Gem Experience.

the removal of duplicated would be a really noticeable nerf, and then the other conversions would remove the big bombs of stuff.

Other than that it feels like the game drops way less popcorn currency (alts, transmutations, alchs, vaal, binding). A player on reddit legit got a mirror drop before a binding orb. This is of course anecdotal.
This is good news! 3.23's loot fest was completely broken. At least they nerfed the drop rate. Dude got 6-link and unsatisfied. Okay!
Yeah I think the change to the rare bonuses/duplication is why loot is so much less. Still feels ok though, honestly.
