Thank you for the response. this season i can only find a +20 to all resistances on a flash. the +39ish that you are showing in the POB isnt available +20 is max roll tier 1. i was thinking of redoing my boots and letting go of a stat to get some more cold and fire. i think im like 18 short on each with my +15 all res flash. is there something else you might recommend to get those resistances? i doubled checked all my marks and curses are all over 100 mana on my skill bar something must be showing wierd in the POB. I appreciate the help.

I'd recommend a bismuth flask instead of taste of hate early and before getting belt/amulet/boots/jewels with resistance modifiers.

Hey,

Can you check out where im going wrong, I keep on insta killing myself and cant proc firestorm or blazing salvo ?

You have righteous decree and the small passive before it allocated which reduces the mana cost of the CWDT skills below 100, which makes kitava's thirst never trigger. Dropping those two passives should fix it.

hi.

I decided to build the build and I think I have a decent gear, but I think something is not right or I really don't know if the build reached its limit, can u take a look?

That's very good gear, but your spell choice is definitely going to hold you back. Lightning Conduit of the Heavens and Crackling Lance are going to have significantly lower damage (and possible worse clear too) than Blazing Salvo/Firestorm or Ice Spear/Creeping Frost.
I've been messing around with this build in pob and I thought I would share my thoughts. First a couple things I think are mistaken in your guide. An Enlighten lvl 5 is required to hit 152% frequency (50 + 50 + 20 + 32). Also if I am not mistaken it only requires 6 100 mana skills for full uptime on triggers. After the first skill goes on cd, it will be on cd for the next two triggers then taking damage for the next 3 then activate again so 1 + 2 + 3 = 6.

For the energy blade build, I am fairly certain Reap will be the most optimal spell choice for dps since you don't need lifetap support. Add Exsanguinate and support it with Spellblade and Critical Damage. You can eventually upgrade Critical Damage to Awakened Spell Cascade. With enough mana recovery you could theoretically run Reap, Firestorm, Awakened Spell Cascade, and Spellblade for maximum dps but I don't think its feasible without a simplex amulet.

Edit: Reap Exsanguinate has an issue with not enough on hit leech. Mana sustain has also been less of an issue than expected so Reap Bladefall will probably best optimal at the high end.

I don't see a final POB but I think you should be stacking str/int harder. Path down to Utmost Might then up to Utmost Intellect and use double Split Personality in a large lightning cluster. A lightning cluster with Overshock will provide shock effect which is sorely missing in this build. Shock effect is not mandatory but is a great damage multiplier and should smooth out the build. Even if you don't attribute stack, you should be anointing Tranquility instead of Utmost Might.

Personal preference but I kill myself too often with these kinds of builds when I am required to activate my flask every time I enter a map. A source of flask duration or flask charges gained would allow you to enchant Use When Full. The Magnate is really good here as it is only slightly worse than Cyclopean Coil while also giving resistances and enough flask charges gained.

Which leads me into The Adorned. I know its expensive but this build doesn't need a max rolled one. While a 134% would be ideal to increase mana recoup from 3 to 7 per abyss jewel, even a 110% would be enough to sustain a max quality Coruscating Elixir with a 10% flask duration jewel to replace Magnate with Coil. You can add up to two additional large clusters for 4 additional jewel slots.

Last thought is that I cannot justify running a second damage aura over Purity of Elements. This build already has a hard time capping elemental resistances and needs Arakaali pantheon for the chaos resistance. You could replace Determination or drop a quicksilver for a bismuth flask but neither of those options seems worth it.

Looking forward to trying the build out next league.

I don't get it: CWDT on lvl 2 requires 583 damage taken. Storm Secret only makes 500 dmg in total, so my CWDT will never proc.... Am I stupid?
da_Mahoney you're not stupid for asking for clarification.

TLDR: The damage you take is stored and doesn't need to be from a single hit, and the self damage is a quite a bit lower than 500 due to lighting resistance (this is accounted for though).

CwDT support stores the damage your character takes per linked spell and when you reach the threshold amount attempts to trigger every applicable skill linked to it provided you can afford the skill cost. Spells that do not fire due to insufficient resources have the threshold reset without being put on cooldown.

Quality on CwDT reduced the total amount of damage needed to be stored for it to trigger linked spells (level 2 20% quality yields a 525 damage threshold).

Separately the damage threshold of CWDT only accounts for the damage your character takes post damage reduction, so the 500 damage of two uncatalyzed storm secret rings is further reduced by any lighting resistance your character has, as well as any other sources of elemental damage reduction / less damage taken. With 75% lighting resistance you would take 125 lighting damage per herald of thunder hit without catalysts so you need multiple HoT hits to meet the threshold.

The trick of this build is using mana gaiting to delay the activation of multiple skills linked to CwDT because you can't afford the cost of every skill due to reservation. So the untriggered skills will start to offset their damage threshold as well as desyncing their cooldowns allowing for Kitava's Thirst to have more valid casts at frequency that more closely matches the cooldown of the item.

The Magnate is a great suggestion and I've added it to the build (and lets you use "when flask charges reach full" if you want)! Adorned would've probably also been good before the nerfs. Swapping out Taste of Hate (since it got nerfed) for a magic Bismuth flask fixes the resistance issues, but definitely an option too! Thanks for answering the other question!

I'm trying this in 3.25. Not able to go full speed this launch, so I was okay with trying something that might take a little more time/effort to get up and running this time.

I'm in Blood Aqueducts right now grinding a few levels and some currency. I'm still running Arma Brand and it's rough. Aside from the "mandatory gear list" is there a required progression point on the passive tree or other gear gate to get this working?

If I understand the underlying mechanics right, not having 20% quality gems doesn't break the build, just makes it less efficient. In some of the explanation sections on the OP, it looks like certain notables on the passive tree are required, but I'm not sure which those are, or what the priority is.

tl;dr Besides the mandatory list:

Kitava's Thirst
+3 to cold skill gems between staff and amulet
2x Storm Secret
Fevered Mind (and the four notables to feed it)
2x 6L for the CWDT setups (or 1 6L and 1 5L)

What else do I need to have in place before switching over to the full build?

Not too much else, I'd make sure to have the mana/life recoup on the passive tree. Really sorry about the leveling, the armageddon brand nerf hurt the leveling more than I expected and I'm workign on a better way to get it to maps.
so ive just hit the lvl 70 and ready to go for map, ive got the mandatory item, just wanted to know how can i make the transition, what do i need, is it better to go enery blade once im going to map or not ? im still using armagedon brand right now, was fine to lvl up, but id really like to continue with your build.
