Ayyyy. Couple-ish weeks later than the 'normal' 3 months is a plus to me. Hopefully it will be a banger mechanic/potential lead up to PoE 2 storywise somehow.

Last league aka the holiday league was already a big banger, so we can expect a rather simple and small league again with probably just a handful more new gems.

The league itself was a banger but I thought the mechanic was poorly implemented and added way too much juice - Kinda wished it was more Delirium oriented where the deeper/more wisps collected the monsters would be near impossible so you'd have to TP out.

For me, once I got 38 challenges I peace'd out.

Although, I am glad lots of exiles got to enjoy it. It's a win/win. I get to have fun for about a month while the others for about 2-3 months.

Even with the poor balanced league mechanic it's been a much better league than the previous 2 non holiday leagues (Tota/Crucible) cause both came with close to no or any interesting changes at all. This league offers at least a large pool of new stuff to mess around with, which is going to make the next couple of leagues also a bit more interesting even with a boring league mechanic. especially once they start to balance the new skills and also add missing skills into the game.

They could even just run a flashback league with just changes and it would be quite enjoyable to a degree. I wouldn't mind to play Perandus league or something like synthesis league once again for 1-2 months just with balance changes to gems and furthermore new gems.
