Did they nerf valdo's droprate?

I need thoughts on this, did anyone seem like the valdo droprate is heavily nerfed from like last week in high-end mf mapping? As a term of comparison, before this week i'd get like 20valdos/h, and now in a whole day of mapping i got like 10, which is wild to imagine.

I remember people claiming it's related to how many maps give rare uniques as rewards - the more rewarding the map, the lower the valdo's droprate.
Even though I'd love to comment that my drops have been significantly lower, I think it's RNG mate. I definitely FEEL like it's been worse as I'm going regularly without getting a single divine on a 5k wisps map. As juiced as I can make it with full mf build too.

It's pointless to speculate as we'll never know without confirmation.

I remember reading a post from GGG, I can't remember if it was in a league or not, and this was roughly 7 years ago, though it mentioned that they quietly buffed the exalt drop rate to see if people used them more. The experiment showed that people just held onto them and didn't increase their usage. I think that went against what GGG envisioned for the community. I wish I had that post on-hand as evidence that they do sometimes adjust drop rates.
I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.

Assuming nothing changed, Valdo's box is actually a currency item so it has nothing to do with rare unique rewards. To check it by yourself, keep doing map and keep choosing "chance to duplicate basic currency" altar modifier. It can dupe valdo, and to know if its duped, they stacked on each other when drop and proc'd the dupe. Two individual valdo boxes, not 2x valdo boxes.

Yes they nerfed Valdo's drop rate. [Removed by Support] They nerfed all drops or maybe nerfed wisps in general. I have had a very inconsistent night. I had a 13k wisp fully juiced map drop me nothing. This map would normally drops me 3+ Valdos and a handful of divines at worst.

You are not understanding how it works. Both Keys and Valods Boxes rarity is related to the reward they can give. If next batch of maps GGG would add have only Mageblood as a reward, the Valdo Box drop arte would be reduced to fit mageblood drop rate. Same goes with Key. Because GGG added more maps mid-league, the drop rate was also changed because a lot of those new maps are giving voices, MB, HH etc.

Ohhh so that's how it works, I see now. It's a bit disappointing to know that the grind has been nerfed, now it's hardly worth my time to try to get mirror tier items anymore, since mirror is going up in price, but we're making less than before in terms of div/h. Still, it's been fun.

'I am normallly dropping 20 boxes per hour look at me senpai'
People already assuming a Valdo's box is a common drop because of league mechanic. Wait until next league and watch the market have a normal 50-100x less boxes and complain here too.
Can't wait for all thes epeople trying to remake their 'Valdo build' only to realize there aren't enough T0 reward boxes available.

20 boxes per hour sounds ridiculous.

I found a couple of them in the first week and then nothing.
