Who here would be willing to forego a whole expansion just to get a AH like WoW has?
Don't know how to set up a vote, but I would if i could.
**edit** Fine then not WoW, don't bite my head off becuase I can't give a perfect concept that pleases everyone. WoW's AH or EQ's bazaar are the only references I have experience with. please explain to me the WONDERFUL advantages of having to make players stay online AND AWAKE (gad i hate afk sellers) to sell stuff? Call it offline trading then, but i utterly despise having to split my time between making sales in person and playing. As I don't want an AH "like WoW has", and think it would hurt the game in the long run, when the game, the monsters, the drop rate and the in-game progression are all balanced around an AH and the automated scripts that come with it, the answer for me would be "hell no".
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Nope. I would preffer player shops over that. You still need to be online, you still need to invite someone to your hideout, you just dont need to leave ur map and instead they would grab item from your "stash' and the payment would be stored automatically.

" WoW AH is per realm (or was, not sure about current retail) Even then you search for an item that has a high turn over (mats), and try buy the cheapest there is a good chance that on a busy server that the purchase gives you an error message because someone beat you to it. PoE trade is global, with many more times the people that would be looking for maps/currency...that's going to get messy and end up in the same problem (you can't buy shit becuase other people are beating you to it) Then the problem will arrise that since YOU can get it, might aswell get a program that runs the scan, and purchases asap...then every one will be using them including bots and where is that going to leave you. An AH IS a bad idea...always will be and GGG are right to tell you no and keep telling you no. I'd personally prefer that they keep going with league content. Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

I would never return if this had a Diablo 3 auction house, which is really what you're asking for

I would skip any league that added an auction house.
I'd honestly likely just stop playing entirely. " This is an idea I could see, change Lilly's duty from Div / Gems (Something Helena could take over) and change Lilly the Pirate to act as a Fence for the hideout. You give her stuff and assign a price, she and other players can do the exchange there and you can pick up the payment at your leasure. You this allows some gating by GGG, meaning you need to be in maps before you can open up shop (or perhaps as soon as part 2), they could limit the size of your shop, so only so much stuff can be in at a given time to prevent too wild of a market to be automated that they could tweek over time (though in alterative she could just sell out of labled stash tabs while she acts as a remove only tab with a limited size, to avoid allowing infinate stash space issues). i still would want to visit other peoples HO for trading. player shops would be a great compromise and eliminate price fixing, so im in favour of those.

Would probably do more harm than good. To be honest I have absolutely no problem with the current trade, but I wish they would add bulk options for things like Heist Contracts, Logbooks and Sanctums.
