Is it ok that my dude stands afk while blocking endless flow of spells and attacks from 3+ bosses, like at maven challenge or with atlass tree "Destructive play" node?

How do you guys deal with bosses with cheap investment? i don't have any issue for t1 to 14 maps, mapping is great and fast until you meet some mob with posseses crazy counter buff, so smooth and fun. But latter getting beaten in t15 and t16 boss. Atp, I feel stuck.
For gear, still trying to transition from starter to midgame build, but the big problem i can't afford EE with RT, Voice Of The Storm with allocates tribal fury, stormshroud viridian, watchers eye, large cluster jewel with that 3 skill yet. Because need so much divine to trade that. My mistake is switch to this build early, i play exsanguinate before, its great but became boring after. And another stupid mistake to bought the wrong lethal pride. I still very new to this game, and getting insane with this overwhelming mechanic. i play like 2 or 3 weeks so far. " You can harvest bench craft those clusters yourself for a fraction of a cost by the way, just need blue/red juice and hope to get lucky. I'm still using my EE without RT and don't think I will swap out to be honest, 8 divs is too steep for me. Well you're basically using zero eldritch implicits on your gear, and the one you have for extra fire damage on your chest doesn't do anything, seems you just have to keep playing and hope for some currency to better your situation. Instead of Leader of the Pack, try and get charisma instead, if you have trouble with gem requirements you can vendor the jewel + orb of scouring to get -1 level.
