This is not a story about someone not being able to make a good build....

My experience: you make a build with 100% crit chance, crazy dps based on 650 crit multi, almost enough for everything in the game, and then I ran into rare "crit resistant" monsters.
You break your fingers for 5 minutes just attacking him and ask yourself: what's the point of this?

Tbf, that mod actually sucks. Crit resistant should be 90% reduced crit damage, Leech resistant should reduce leeched life by 90% etc.

But that wasn't the point Coconutdoggy made at all, and unfortunately wickedmaki couldn't stay civil enough to explain what they mean with "you dont need a proper build to play PoE", so I guess we'll never know. :)

Even better. You play crit ele build and on top of crit resi monster also has cycled ressistances and is immune to your type for half of the time.

Thank you, this is the actual issue. What is the point of the game incentivizing you to build defensive/dps layers if the game's counterplay to them is to remove them??

It's horseshit and it just feels like it's trying to waste your time. Your build isn't bad until the map mods take half of your build away, that's nonsense. Like I'm not sure how a better way to to approach difficulty would look in this game at this point but I don't feel like that's the right way to do it.

I say this as a person who has enjoyed the game for many years.

Its all thanks to lovely AN mods. Imagine that we had WAY more of them that were straight up bricking builds. All because CW wanted to have same shit Diablo 2 had.

Big disagree, your build is just bad.
I thought this thread will be about actual immortals monsters(those do exist)
and lag your computer in to the crash state.

Example: Immortality shrine+bow build with many projectiles that chain or spread dots.

Or valdo maps with "monsters outside 2m radius from player can not be damaged" I had to win such map with average of 0 fps

this was my reward.


Or at least the bad design which is phase bosses, that just bug in the animation set and even tho they have 0 hp for said phase will attack for next 3 minutes pretending to not be completely crushed...


We need more monsters that are actually stronger, like triple wisp buffed with 100% fracture and tormented spirits. And none of these lag your computer 0fps actually immortal mobs.


You need harder mobs? GGG made a gameplay just for you. RUTHLESS. Makes coming in to general discussion and whining about the game being too easy on a softcore thread a mute point. Try RUTHLESS. You might like it.
