Mobs that can't be damged shouldn't exist.
I understand temporary buffs as part of a mechanic. I understand mechanics where you may have to pull the boss to a certain place before it can get damaged. However, a mob that is permanently buffed to the point that it is literally unkillable is bad design, and we've seen this for a few leagues now. This is why I worry about PoE2.

" Big disagree, your build is just bad. I thought this thread will be about actual immortals monsters(those do exist) and lag your computer in to the crash state. Example: Immortality shrine+bow build with many projectiles that chain or spread dots. Or valdo maps with "monsters outside 2m radius from player can not be damaged" I had to win such map with average of 0 fps this was my reward. Or at least the bad design which is phase bosses, that just bug in the animation set and even tho they have 0 hp for said phase will attack for next 3 minutes pretending to not be completely crushed... We need more monsters that are actually stronger, like triple wisp buffed with 100% fracture and tormented spirits. And none of these lag your computer 0fps actually immortal mobs. "Yes. Especially the boss invlunerability phases should be purged. Or give me also an "invlunerability while talking but my minions can kill you still" skill to compensate. Soul Eater needs to be removed from the game. Every time there are any problems with some monsters having bilion DPS and being immortal, its monster with perma Soul Eater with hundreds of stacks.

" Yeah this is the modifier I dislike the most. There's not great counterplay from the player, as to survive, players require a large DPS footprint, combined with the speed of the game, you can't 'avoid' killing things around the Soul Eater to circumvent it, which feels like the intented counter play. By the time you realize there's a soul eater, it can be too late to solve the problem. That it eats your minion's souls too (i.e skeletons) also makes it worse for minion heavy builds. Though I did once use that, making a bear so big it couldn't follow me through a hallway, then just grinding it down at range over like 10 minutes. |

Chance are if you can't kill a mob your dps is the problem.
They can be damaged your dps is just too low to do anything. Why am I still here

" While you are right, the game does not revolve around CAKE 40 challenges. The game does not need "more monsters that are actually stronger", since there are already, that due to your experience and professionalism in the game makes you feel that the example you give is not worthy of being described as something strong, the problem in which case would be lacking content that pleases veteran players as you, and path of exile has variety, not that souls alike as you approach -- That said, the modifiers mentioned in this thread seem a little absurd to me, as if Soul Eater were a big deal, like most are just skill issue. The only mobs that I do see annoying are the ones that appear from time to time in Ultimatum, spiders that become immortal every 0.5s and teleport to the other side of the Ultimatum area, sometimes I kill them instantly and other times it lasts a year Venezuela es mi barrio, y odio mi barrio.

Soul Eater + Invulnerability Aura needs to be removed. The amount of lag added is unreal at times.
