3.25 Torstein's GodSlayer - Molten Strike - 100 mil DPS tanky destroyer

Great guide always a learning experience.

At 96 now and the build feels amazing
Hey,

I just wanted to post and thank you for putting this together. This build has been INCREDIBLE, and I'm having a blast. Killing all the bosses, running juicy juicy t16s, it's just great.

If anyone wanted to take a peek at my PoB, I'm probably missing all kinds of things. I'm pretty sure I need to find a chunk of accuracy, I desperately need about ~20 more points of Int to free up a passive point, my offhand claw is kinda janky (I think) cause I crafted it myself on the go when I was doing Essences early league. Maybe a better Watcher's Eye?

Overall, couldn't be happier with it and I'm so thankful you posted it. Keep up the good work!

Tyvm both for feedback!

Sensei for Int you will need to recraft your helmet or get double crit multi + life + Int rare jewel.
Also put body armour at 30% quality via Betrayal and add Harvest Int per %q enchant on it.

You need accuracy on gear yeah.

Better claw, better Watcher's eye, weapon enchants, lvl 21 Sniper's mark.... those are all small upgrades that have cumulative effect.

Also bottom cluster is not great because as you can see 2 notable clusters have bad position of notables so you need to invest more points to reach Fan of Blades.

Thanks for the feedback!

Also, just out of curiosity, what would a -perfect- claw look like for this build? Like, something mirror worthy? :D

This is what you wanna start with - Double T1 Cold/Lightning damage, and then you wanna lock prefixes and use Aisling to get Veiled Ele Pen as your 3rd, best-in slot prefix. It is way stronger to go this route than using a triple damage elemental claw, based on my PoB. Things might be different if you are using elemental penetration support, u have to calculate that for yourself, but I´m still running damage on full life, means that elemental pen is a far bigger dmg-increase for me.

Once this is done, you would want Attack Speed, Crit Multi and a final craft of probably crit multi/ias when rare/unique enemy nearby from betrayal.

The current mirror-market does not offer any of those claws, in fact I only saw one triple ele claw worth mirroring, and that one is indeed weaker than my current version just because I benefit from the aforementioned ele pen.
I'm running ele pen with Nimis, so maybe not? Not totally sure how to check, my PoB skills are pretty lacking.

Is ele dmg per qual better than AS per qual on the claws?

Also, should I get an awakened multistrike gem? :D

Nimis is out of the question since I consider it mandatory anyway, I use it as well of course. To check that is pretty simple if you´ve got a PoB of your own character already. If you do: just go into items < craft item, and just slot in my version with better suffixes. Then add it to the items. Then you do the same with triple ele claw. And then u simply equip both of them after each other and compare. I´m not a pob specialist myself but as long as you have a correctly configured version of your own char you should be able to test things pretty reliably like that.

Again, in my PoB it is better - things MAY change with a different setup. That being said: Most mods in PoE are subject to diminishing returns, and being dual wield, getting double the benefits while dual-wielding claws and having VERY high attack speed on claws already means that we are attacking quite fast. Add all benefits from rage/berserk, frenzy charges or blood rage on top of that and you see why a few tiny additional percentages from the claw-enchant might be worse than flat out 15% elemental damage. Also, we don´t really get a lot of basic increased damage on the build, hence those crafts also have far more power than in other builds that traditionally push increased damage further.

Last thing, Multistrike: If you can pay it, why not. In raw numbers, it is a straight up upgrade. Though I know that Thorstein argues against it, since it locks u a tiny bit longer in place, therefore the build might suffer in regards to a fluent gameplay. I never felt the same with the Poison Pathfinder, so I doubt it would be a problem for me personally here, so in the end the decision is up to you if you wanna sacrifice a tiny bit of gameplay-feel for a bit of damage.

I'm preparing claw crafting guides for different scenarios but I can spoil a little bit the max damage one.

Harvest element damage per 2% quality
T1 Cold
T0 Fire (Essence)
Veiled ele penetration
T1 Global Crit Multi
Fractured Attack speed
Double damage (bench)

This claw is the best you can get with realistic crafting measures. Its not cheap, but not mirror level of currency either.

Attack speed is better if your elemental rolls aren't T1. Plus you don't need 30% quality so its cheaper. You should get awk multi if you can afford it.

Edit:
I was bored and crafted one for example

I was sceptical but given high attack speed with low animation that claws have, Aw Multistrike is great.
