Why do POE players always feel the need to hate on every league ?
Because we STILL don't have an in-game marketplace.
I am waiting since Closed Beta. WTF GGG????????
" That's on you. They've told us, several times, that it isn't coming - but you keep waiting? Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

flip the question, why do white knights always gotta dick ride for companies that prove they dont give a fuck about you & just want your money?
how many times has this company shot themselves in the face with ridiculous updates? like not as bad bungie but ... I mean the track record here isn't great either! I'll always listen to someone that is angry, because that person is generally passionate about the content & wants it to improve. I can't say the same about folks like yourself that make ridiculous threads like this one.
because the odds of landing a perfectly balanced mechanic every 4 months on day one is basically nil, so its going to annoy people when its too hard and they can't properly experience the new content, or annoy the other end of the spectrum when its too easy and they get through it on day one.
and when its the 12th league in a row that has similar issues, people start running out of sympathy for the devs. the vast majority just play it and don't comment either way. |

" Comparing 2 months into a league when objectively some league mechanics are not fun enough to warrant playing that long to begin with is pretty poor data comparison. It is better to compare when the most players are actively playing, the 1st 2 weeks to the 1st month, which is when most of the player base will have already done everything they wanted. It is only when a league mechanic offers very strong rewards that people are willing to play longer. Top 4 leagues of the last 15 by week 2 - Crucible - Ritual - Ultimatum - Ancestor Top 4 leagues of the last 15 by week 4 - Crucible - Ritual - Ancestor - Metamorph Likewise I also want to point out that more players in general are playing the game than in the past. So while crucible being ranked so high is good, it started with likely double the players on day one than any other league ever. So what is actually more valuable is player retention numbers over the same period of time Top 5 leagues of the last 15 by week 2, by player retention - Metamorph 68.1% = 12/14/2019 - Ritual 63.7% = 1/16/21 - Delirium 63.5% = 3/14/20 - Heist 61.4% = 9/19/20 - Ultimatum 58.2% = 4/17/21 Of all the leagues since Ultimatum, in general every league since then has been worse then the same amount of leagues before then. Ancestor and Crucible are the best 2 leagues since then, and they were carried by heavy conversion of players from Diablo 4 and D4 content creators like Darth Microtransaction making the switch and encouraging players to try PoE. This is why their day 1 player numbers are so high. Even Affliction day 1 numbers are pretty high because of this. However if the players are not sticking around, then its likely because the league mechanic was not very good. Some of the worst leagues to ever come out in PoE history were made in the last 2 years. Leagues like Archnemesis and Kalandra should never happen again. Chroniccomplainerreviews.wordpress.com Your source for quality honest reviews to save you time and money! People usually don't go to forum/reddit if they are happy about something. Those players spend time playing instead. That makes feedback very lopsided.

" Goes without saying, when we know there has been a handful of people working on the 'latest' leagues. When GGG clearly treats PoE 1 as a "secondary" project, players will too. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

" You're waiting for something they made very clear it will never happen? OK. |

Pretty bad and unfun mechanic atm. Maybe it gets better, but the whole premise of running around in a dark side area with no map and pac-manning wisps you can barely see, praying you run into something you need, sucks.
Yea, juicing the mobs is ok, but the side area stuff ruins it. On top of being pretty overtuned, I can see a lot of people quitting this league quite quickly. Unfun on top of over-tuned doesnt usually bode well for a league's health. Holding out hope, but just the overall design of running around in the dark is going to turn people away. Its just a weak league. Happens. Kinda sucks with how much they changed skill gems; would have been nice to get a good high retention league, like Delirium or something to really have fun with all the gems but this isnt it. Maybe the next one. Last edited by Destructodave on Dec 18, 2023, 2:12:31 PM
