Tell me why do i keep playing this game
I don't understand it myself.
I am Not a masochist.
I do Not enjoy this.
So why do i keep playing it?
I mean obviously in the last 10 years i had enjoyed the game at some point. But it was a different game. This, this is something else entirely.
t14 map boss, vs me
70chaos res, ~18k armor, ~4.2k hp
I didnt stand a chance at all.
Last night it was same thing but with Residence trapper boss. Entire screen of fire and lightning traps. One shot dead and i was on other side of the room. Couldn't even see the boss, but hey, he sees me and he one shots me.

It's called an addiction, you should consider therapy. Just uninstall and be done with it. Might be hard for a while but you'll adjust once the poison is out of your system.

these wisp things are seriously over tuned tho.
75% res is cap, were not getting into expecting everyone to have +max res on every character, lets not be silly here. hes got 17k armour + fortify + cap on res and he dies almost instantly.
yeah, its ghosted and wispped so its a ridiculous boss and hes gonna die. but its the bloody league mod, every boss is wispped, so now any boss that is ghosted is just a fuck fest of instant death for a reasonable character for the whole league?
come on, stop giving the guy shit and just accept thats stupidly overtuned and needs looked at.

Let's be real here, the days where 75 res was worth shit are long past. 85+ res isn't some luxury at this point, it's mandatory once you get past yellow maps if you want to avoid oneshots.

i have 90% all res on my chieftain and still get 1 shot quite a lot. there is so much phys/chaos dmg in this game, so even at 90 all res you will still die a lot

It's a 10-year-old story, when you think you've done everything right, something suddenly screws you up.
You make a little effort to see what it is, understand it, change it and continue for the next 10 years.

Try to incorporate some kind of "damage taken as another element" for elemental damage. Tempered by war or divine flesh. Chances are penetration has a big hand in those oneshots you are experiencing.

Try to blast more, it helps.
Also doing some sanctums and learning how to dodge stuff helps a long way, specially as melee.

i have a cloak of flames so thats 40% phys taken as fire. i also have 30% chaos res. all this should be enough not to get 1 shot so often. the sad truth is that this game is just awfully balanced.
