Why are supporters packs so expensive?

What happened to the 300 coin ones? I want to support you guys but 100$ Canadian is way too steep

Because the game is free. This is how they get paid. Alternatively, you can pay $70 for D4 and also pay for MTX.

I wouldn't say that this game has particularly expensive MTX.
Pricing is really ok in my opinion, the developers and the infrastructure needs to be paid for, etc... I have a minor grievance with not being able to buy the current league pass, though, because I can't find the button. |

I stopped buying packs. Mtx just collects dust.

Yeah, the Core Packs are more expensive - and: there won't be Affliction league packs this time, that's why the Ancestor ones were extended until the end of this league. During the Affliction reveal livestream the reason given was that they weren't releasing league packs this time because they decided to combine them into even better than usual core ones.
