One of the things I strongly dislike about "the actual game" is the hassle due to itemization. In campaign (or other endless stuff like Labyrinth or Delve) this is not a thing.
And whether its a "worthless" waste of time or a "worthy" waste of time is purely subjective anyway.


it's not an opinion the real game starts after we reach maps and if you're bothered by having to think about itemization in poe go play diablo 4

5) Endless Maps: Maps are not consumed when used. Maps cannot be modified. 1 Guaranteed map as quest reward. 99% less maps from all other sources. (Kirac can be used to complete maps just like now.)

are you seriously arguing that the acts aren't just a stepping stone to reach the actual game? you get nothing from the acts and past your first character at league start you don't even pick up anything except the rare times a divine or chaos orb drop there's nothing to be gained from the campaign other than a way to level up to start mapping

what's the point of maps not being consumed if you can't juice them? can already do that with bulk buying a map and running it white
It would be nice to have a capture-the-flag tournament. Been sitting at 126 Achievements forever.

1) You are arguing from your (vocal majority?, 27 points) POV. Obviously the Acts/Campaign are part of the game. For those specializing in speedrunning they may even be the most important part of the game.
2) Even if its so this is completely irrelevant for a game mode that only has Campaign. So whats your point? Its not supposed to be more rewarding or easier or whatever.
3) Maybe try playing in SSFHC [optional: Ruthless] and you may appreciate the loot in the campaign a bit more.

Its both a limitation and a simplification. And you cant buy maps in (HC) SSF(*) anyway.

Edit: I was assuming that events may be spiced up like Mayhem with the 2 extra bad mods last year. So you dont need extra juice to make it harder.

(*) Thats where the most prices are. See former Delirium etc events. So no "SSF doesnt matter".

Void leagues suck. Make it fun, add lots of monsters and great loot, send the results to standard.

My suggestion:
Make in standard; new characters only but standard stash available.
Double+ mob size
Boost the bosses
Boost the loot to premium stuff only
Points or extra loot for full clears of areas
Special versions of cool items drop as rewards
Limit which skill gems can be used (not supports)
Extra passive points earned in the Acts

what exactly would you want from a campaign only event with nothing else to make it special? kill kitava in act 10 and repeat what's the point of that? I will never play ssf or ruthless those modes suck especially in a game balanced around trade
